"The swimming pool was not available because of technical disturbances, but with this warm weather, it is in power but they have not said anything in advance, and they don't come with an excuse, or intervention. A cup of coffee or tea, one drink, would be in place. I'm almost sure you can avoid complaints at checkout, because then you'll show you really feel annoying for your guests. The reason why I decrease the service is that they received a lot of complaints about it at check-out, a guest received a 10% discount, but not everyone unless you say something about it. So what I feel very sorry is that they did not take the responsibility to inform you in advance so you can still decide to come or not. And that they only offer assistance if you complain about it while everyone is disappointed, at least most. Morning top is the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the ambiance good. You can be delicious sitting outside, not the feeling that you are in a hotel. Amaretto sour cocktail delicious! You can also read a book or work on your laptop in the lobby/bar. The single room is very practical so I didn't disturb the space. It would certainly come back here, but first check if all facilities are available.😉"

"I think some of the reviews being given are a little harsh. The welcome on arrival was second to none, extremely friendly and the offered cup of coffee was very welcome. Very friendly staff! 10/10 Getting to the room was a little strange, having to walk through the bowling alley area, and then through some strange open area with an old London bus converted into a bar!! And the lift, one for the disabled, where you have to hold the button for it to move was strange.... and VERY slow! Take the stairs! Room was dated to be sure but it was clean and functional, bed (twin singles) was comfortable although for me a little on the small side. There was a TV but cannot comment on it as did not even turn it on. The room itself was like a sauna it was so hot! Had to turn off the two large radiators and open the door onto the balcony to cool it down to a much better level! The balcony was in need of a clean! Plenty of sockets available for plugging laptops and chargers etc into. At night, even with all the lights on it was still a little dark and dingy, could do with a bit brighter lighting, none of which were switchable from the bed! There was one switch by the entrance which if was in the off position nothing electrical in the room would work. Bathroom was configured strangely. Sitting on the toilet was an art form as it was so close to the shower wall! Shower was nice and hot! Biggest drawback is that there was no tea/coffee facilities, or bottles of water, in the room. Can buy at the bar but 6 Euro for a smallish bottle of water I thought was a little excessive. Noise dampening is poor. There was clearly a family in the room above me that had a very young baby and it disturbed me a couple of times screaming for attention. More than one night I would have had to be moved if they were still there too! Food in the restaurant was ok. I had the carpaccio starter which was very nice. Main was the schnitzel which I thought was "average" at best, although the poached pears that came with it were superb! Didn't bother with dessert. The menu was in my opinion, very restricted. Breakfast was typical continental fare, adequate enough, although the scrambled eggs left a lot to be desired. Generally speaking the stay was ok, no major concerns, so I rated it as good. Only stayed one night though, don't think I would have liked to stay too much longer."

"We booked a room for 1 night travelling down from north Holland going back to Belgium. The picture used to advertise this place gives the impression of a hotel in an oasis of green and water when in fact it’s perched in an industrial estate, on main roads and a roundabout. It’s not a hotel but a motel that has in reality no special features, lobby area, apart bar or amenities. It is a modern collection of 2 buildings with a car park in between them, how it gets a 4 star rating is beyond me. We ate in the restaurant and that was good, with excellent staff service, good value for money. The breakfast was decent but the ‘cooked food’ abysmal, we arrived at 08.45, the scrambled egg has rubberized by then, the bacon getting cold and hard and heavens knows what happened to the fried eggs? The bedrooms are large but dark, brown walls, dark gray furniture and little natural light. The bed was very, very comfortable and we slept well. Bathroom also large, with an excellent shower. Something for everyone could be found on the TV. This place is good for arriving in the evening, eating in (or not) sleeping and departing and probably not much more. Have to say the staff we excellent and well motivated but it was very expensive and not worth the money we paid. "
