"Me and my partner stayed here from the 15th until the 19th of August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was a 5 minute walk to the ferry and 15 minutes from the main restaurants in Varenna. The only down side to the stay was the loud construction work which was taking place at the Varenna train station. The work would usually start around 06:30 and carry on until late hours of the night (loud machinery would not be used at the later hours of the day). However this had nothing to do with the apartments and was unavoidable. The owner did send us a message in advance about the work being carried out. Overall our stay was enjoyed with a good apartment and great views."

"The environment and space are good, living on a flat floor, clean, and the air conditioner is not too cold. Although the station is right next to it, you have to go around to get to the place of accommodation, and there is no restaurant nearby."

"Fantastisk ophold på Hotel Beretta!Ejeren var utrolig venlig og tillod os at udvide vores checkout på grund af det tungt regn og kolde vejr, som vi virkelig sætter pris på.Beliggenheden er bekvem og gør det nemt at komme rundt i området. Der er også en restaurant nedenunder, der serverer lækker mad til meget rimelige priser.Generelt, en komfortabel ophold med varm gæstfrihed, og jeg ville gerne blive her igen."

"BEFORE you book , ask owners if construction / building work opposite has been completed. Train station is being upgraded this means it’s very noisy from heavy machinery from about 07:00 till quite late at night. We were only informed by owners , once we had booked and fully paid, which felt perhaps they should let people know BEFORE they book, fortunately we were only there for 2 nights. The noise from the trains and cars on road outside can clearly be heard , especially as balcony door doesn’t close."

"Excellent location directly above the train station (not noisy) and a few blocks walk to the lake, shopping, restaurants, bars, the ferry etc. This lodging location is nearly brand new, very modern, with an excellent kitchen area, full refrigerator and other kitchen appliances, an outdoor patio right off the living room that has views of the lake, surrounding mountains, the activity at the train station, etc. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful at the last minute when our intended lodging location fell through. The cost here is also reasonable considering that you're at Lake Como with all of the amenities provided here. [There is not laundry.] I've stayed in Varenna before at Villa Monastero which is beautiful with its gardens and on-the-lake location. Residenze Decimina is a much more modern place, about the same walking distance to most of the places you'll visit in town, but at a much more reasonable cost. No gardens, of course, but still a very good option for a place to stay in the Varenna / Lake Como area. I would absolutely stay here again when I return."
