"Special place to stay. 14th Century rooms in a narrow little house with views over the rooftops of a quaint and quiet town. Pavia is worth a visit and if you are going to this town I can recommend this accommodation. The gentleman who received us when we arrived from the train was polite and excellent in making us feel welcome and informed. The rooms are old ( of course!) but fitted with all the creature comforts. Breakfast was served in a cafe next door using a coupon issued by the host."

"The furniture, the room and its furniture are a shameful structure, and the beds and camping beds, the bathroom and the shower to avoid, I prefer not to wash myself, but to attack some fungi. "The deep yellow pillow bears witness to countless people who have lain on it. An old man, unable to lift his legs, paced the room at three in the morning, taking small, hesitant steps, circling in place like Fan Xiaoqin. Perhaps I will return to this city, but then I will blow up this bedroom."

"Accommodation in pavia is not in abundance and we were glad to book this centrally located B&B. It was clean and in an historic building in a lovely central square. Breakfast was pastry and coffee in the nice cafe across the square. The bed was comfortable, sheets of hood quality and the room well appointed with hairdryer, fridge, kettle etc. the view was superb and despite the central location was remarkably quiet. There were some negatives not least the many flights of narrow stairs to reach the room, the convoluted exit requirements. Why not use the main door? The bathroom was poor and in need of maintenance. I noted particularly the cracked shower door. I’m not sure the complexity of the bed adornment adds anything to the room. The rooms are as per the pictures and won’t suit everybody."

"This beautiful palazzo and its lovely, small city, were absolutely delightful! Charming, historic deluxe double room, with a beautiful large marble ensuite bathroom, and all of the modern amenities travelers come to expect: well working A/C, hot water, comfortable bed & linens, robes, a convenient small refrigerator and tea pot, breakfast included, and plenty of electrical plugs to charge your devices. Loved the chandeliers. The Arnaboldi host and his staff were also warm and gracious, offering historical information about the property and the historic relevance of Pavia, along with sightseeing suggestions (parks, churches, the river). Great central location. A lift or stairs. Enchanting first night in Italy, not far south of Milan by train! (I hate to spoil it for others.) -- Go!"

"My wife and I stayed in Villa Marisa for two nights, from Friday to Sunday, and at our arrival we were welcomed by a very kind lady who accompanied us in the room, described the services and provided the basic information. The room (a Deluxe) was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a very large bathroom, with a refrigerator, a boiler with various types of tea and even a fancy wall-wall walk with heating function. The breakfast of very high quality is served inside the structure, abundant but not with buffet (the available pieces are already prepared on the table). The car can be parked in the street (there is really a lot of place along the road) and it is safe because it is located in a very quiet residential area (even for noises, almost absent). The only new thing, if we want to call it, is that the center of Pavia is about 15 minutes walking away. If we go back to Pavia we go back to Villa Marisa without even considering other facilities."
