"For my first visit to Pavia, I chose to stay at Hotel Moderno. This was a unique experience for me. Rather than walking across the pedestrianized Centro Storico, I could actually see Hotel Moderno across the Piazza. It is only a few minutes walk into the pedestrianized portion of the centro storico. My room was comfortable and as shown in photographs. The front reception staff was friendly and useful. Prima colazine was generous. As I am always looking for opportunities to improve my spoken Italian, I was given the chance to roam about a large Italian supermarket just a fgew blocks away. If I return to pvia , Hotel Moderno would be my choice for accomodation again"

"Accommodation in pavia is not in abundance and we were glad to book this centrally located B&B. It was clean and in an historic building in a lovely central square. Breakfast was pastry and coffee in the nice cafe across the square. The bed was comfortable, sheets of hood quality and the room well appointed with hairdryer, fridge, kettle etc. the view was superb and despite the central location was remarkably quiet. There were some negatives not least the many flights of narrow stairs to reach the room, the convoluted exit requirements. Why not use the main door? The bathroom was poor and in need of maintenance. I noted particularly the cracked shower door. I’m not sure the complexity of the bed adornment adds anything to the room. The rooms are as per the pictures and won’t suit everybody."

"The deep yellow pillow bears witness to countless people who have lain on it. An old man, unable to lift his legs, paced the room at three in the morning, taking small, hesitant steps, circling in place like Fan Xiaoqin. Perhaps I will return to this city, but then I will blow up this bedroom."

"Jeg går ud fra, at jeg ikke er en elsker af spa, sagde det jeg fandt en meget smuk og velplejede struktur. Swimmingpools var meget rene og velorganiserede. Vi begyndte vores oplevelse med en afslappende massage. Meget behagelig. Så vi fortsatte med hydromassage, kagemassage til cervikal. Godt struktureret også sauna og tyrkisk badeværelse. Også varme stol og kromoterapi behagelig. Der er også tønder og kager (her kunne der måske være mere valg, men det er en lille detalje for mig). God erfaring i det store og hele, jeg anbefaler alle, der elsker spa."
