"If you're taking the cabar exam, choose this place. The location is superb, with a direct path from the hotel's back door to the exam venue. It truly allows for a 30-second arrival at the 'battlefield'. You can even go back to your room for a quick nap at lunchtime. The location is truly fantastic. It's definitely the biggest highlight. The colorful graffiti in the picture is the hotel's back door, and where I'm standing is the entrance to the exam hall. I wouldn't choose this hotel if it weren't for the exam, but if it is, then go for it – it's incredibly close. However, the air conditioning unit is an indoor type, and it's incredibly, incredibly noisy."

"The hotel is in the style of an ordinary American moto hotel. Each room has a huge fan for cooling and heating. The only advantage is convenience. There is a whole foods across the street and the subway station is half a block away. It is very convenient for shopping, eating and everything else. The bathroom and washbasin in the room are very bright, but the hair dryer is the one hanging on the wall. I went to the front desk to remind them, and they said it didn't matter. I don't know if the extra 10 or so on the deposit in the end was related to this... The hotel's breakfast is really disappointing. It doesn't have the basic American standard. In the end, I had to heat up the takeaway in the evening for breakfast... As for the service, the service for Asians is really mediocre. On the contrary, the few with Western faces may be from Lao Mo Bar, but they are not bad. Check in early and check out very quickly. It's okay if you can stay for a day or two and are not picky."

"Great view from the hill top. Very quiet neighborhood. Super host TJ served us breakfast, offered travel tips, a fun guy to talk to! It is about 15 minutes drive to downtown Pasadena. Not a big deal but just know the house is on top of a hill. And two of the rooms are Jack and Jill. Thanks for the experience and connections!"

"There is a small swimming pool but it is not open. Breakfast includes milk toast, instant noodles and some fruit. Our family stayed for 2 days in total. Not bad. The important thing is that the price is affordable."

"They seem to be redoing their rooms, but they shouldn't let them out until they're finished. We had no mirror in our room, although there was a hole over the sink where the last light fixture was. We also had no blanket until we asked for one and then it was old and raggedy. Someone made the decision to not have washcloths at all. We stayed for 5 days and had no housekeeping even knock on our door. 5 days without offering fresh towels or emptying trash. Microwave is in a cage by the office up front."
