"Extremely welcoming, a wonderful family run business. Great clean and very comfortable room and bed and pillows very comfortable Fantastic home cooked food, we had dinner beef stew and mash and veg and a full English breakfast in morning which was so good with the most perfectly cooked poached eggs.. Overall a fantastic find a real gem of a hotel in Paignton, in town and just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the pier so really well located aswell . Would definitely return and will definitely highly recommend for anyone ."

"Booed through trip.com. Made a mistake in my booking and booed a room that required disabled access. This was pointed out by a very helpful young lady called Laura (I think?) She amended our booking and very gratefully gave us a sea view room! We had stayed in Paignton the previous night in the Travelodge down the road as it was a bit cheaper. If/when we come again I’d have no hesitation in paying the extra and staying here again. Please thank the wonderful Laura from us! 👍 Mr & Mrs Joyce"

"Palace Hotel var en fornøjelse at blive.Værelserne var varme, behagelige og rene.Personalet var smukt, og vi blev overrasket over at have aftensunderholdning.Vi gik på et budget og var glade for hotellet. Det eneste, der kunne tilføjes, var badeværelset var lidt dateret og kunne gøre det med et nyt sæt, jeg forstår at have organiske funktioner er dejligt, men jeg tror, at det ville være bedre. Vi blev også fortalt om morgenmad ville være £9.00 hver ved ankomsten, men da vi gik til at betale det hvad en hopping £27.00 for en fuld engelsk (1 af hver post) amd nogle avocado og kogt æg på brød ... naturligvis kunne vi have kontinental ... men det gjorde os hoste en Tjenesten var god. Overordnet stor ophold ville anbefale og vende tilbage."

"I 'happened' upon The Berry in the middle of the Torbay Airshow. I didn't have the highest of expectations from the look and feel of the place. However, I was grateful to secure a double room which was a bonus albeit odd when the proprietor asked me not to use the other bed! The downside was the location: being so close to the front meant listening to the punters from next door... which was compounded by a disco. On arrival I noticed that the bathroom ceiling had been papered... I only noticed this because it was partly hanging off. Though I was there for one night by the time I left the whole ceiling was hanging down... so much so that I had to duck to get into the bathroom. The breakfast was poor... full English but a very poor and cheap imitation."

"What a truly wonderful experience staying at Trentham house was From the moment you arrive at your beautifully decorated room or at the end of the day sinking into the sumptuous bamboo mattress it is fantastic Our host Joanne made us feel so welcome,more like friends than guests The rooms amenities and cleanliness were second to none and breakfast was everything and more including fresh milk and complementary chocolates in the fridge and even dressing gowns I have definitely placed it on my list of places to stay again100% 10/10"

"Myself and my wife stayed at the guest house from Monday to Friday. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by Chaz, he even came to my car and was extremely friendly. The hotel was perfect location to all the amenities in Paignton. Information given to us about the guest house and about things to do, places to eat and public transport was exceptional. The guest house was extremely clean and well presented, the daily duties carried out were completed every day. The entire place was lovely and we will both be back. Don’t knock this guest house until you’ve payed them a visit. Kelly and Chaz, you’ve done yourself proud. Best Guest house so far. 🥰😀 Abbie and Leanne"

"Have stayed at thexTravelodge Paignton a few times over the years. And have always found it an ideal location, just a couple minutes to the sea front, pier and beach. It is only a ten to fifteen minute walk from the train station and very close to great bars and restaurants. The staff in reception are always warm and helpful and greet you with a smile. The rooms are clean and tidy and fit for purpose, but this being a budget Hotel, dont expect a massive big screen tv and safes that you would find in more higher end hotels. The same with the bathrooms and shower. Plenty of white fluffy towels are provided, as well as shower body soap and hand soap. They are good and functional for the Price point. The beds are comfortable and the bedding clean and white. I had no problem having a good nights sleep, with just a little noise from guests going to and from their rooms. However there one issue which I will get to later in this review. The room was spacious enough with tea and coffee facilities provided. All inclusive breakfast was very good and plenty of choice (top tip, go to breakfast around eight in the morning before it gets very busy). I travelled by train, but parking is very limited and can cause issues with some guests. All the staff were helpful and kind and a credit to the company. I paid for wifi during my stay, but the wifi was very slow and made using it difficult). (I suppose I am just so used to my superfast internet at home). But now the Elephant in the room which I mentioned earlier. The rooms are so very hot. I mean really hot. Yes it was during a heatwave, but I have stayed at other times and have had the same issue. The windows in the room only open a few inches (health and safety issue) and their is no air-conditioning in the rooms. The reception,bar and corridors do have ac. To be fare. The staff do warn you about the rooms being very warm and a small fan is provided. It is not the staffs fault and a corporate issue. But I have been staying at this Hotel over some years and would have thought that theyb would have put ac in the rooms by now. The hot rooms are the reason I have not given this Hotel five stars. But ifvyou can put up with the very warm rooms, all other aspects of the Hotel are great and I always have a good stay."

"Just got back from an Easter stay at St Edmund's Guest House and couldn't be happier. Linda and Roger are so warm and welcoming, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The breakfast each morning was superb with lots of options to choose from - and we saved a fortune not eating out each morning at an expensive café! Our room (number 9) was immaculate and beautifully decorated - as was the place as a whole. Location is perfect too, as just a stone's throw from the beach. We've already booked our next stay with them for the summer holidays!"

Gæster i weekenden så bogstaveligt havde pladsen til os selv.Tre parkeringspladser ud foran, så vi tog vores valg.Det var regn og vi ville være kommet lidt tidligt, men Peter kom ud og inviterede os ind, så varmt og venligt velkommen.Viste os den. Morgenmad og vores værelse, som var gulv og varm.Giv os nøgler til begge døre så let for os at komme ind og ud, da vi foretrak.Intet var for meget problemer for Peter og hans morgenmad var fantastisk. (især brød og skrammelt æg!).Han elskede en chat, og det gør vi ..... perfekt!Vi vil være tilbage Peter.Bedste ønsker, Sharon & Mike"
