"We enjoyed our stay here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Shame that wasn’t highlighted even though I mentioned it when booking. A ‘congratulations’ or a card or something would have been attentive. The receptionist was on auto pilot and rushed which didn’t feel welcoming. Other than that it was lovely, the room, the view, the food at the Jetty, the waiters."

"The place is perfect. Close to the beautiful beach. Walking distance.The place has a perfect spot to a beautiful sunset. We stayed in a bell tent that can fit for 5 people. Very nice size tent. Equipped with beds and fireplace for a colder night. Firepit outside provided for every single tent. You can use all the facilities in a hostel like kitchen and lounge. All staffs are friendly and helpful. It also a walking distance to the next beach. We walked to the light house which take around 35mins. So overall this place is perfect."

"Room was large and comfortable (although floors were creaky). It’s an old property so always a few maintenance jobs evident. Location is excellent next to the harbour. Staff pretty good, sometimes a bit busy to give full attention. Breakfast was very good."

"Upon arrival I was shown to my room by the very friendly barman. The first shock was the huge water damage just outside my room. The room was also strange as the shower was in the room itself and had a very odd smell probably due to humidity, mould mixed with air spray. I asked if I could change my room which was luckily possible. The barman who had checked me in was very kind. The new room was lovely, a huge window overlooking the bay. After a good sleep (despite the party on the campsite next door) I was surprised to see noone for check out. Definitely don't book the 3 bed room."

"Such a disappointment after so looking forward to our stay. We arrived in the evening so it wasn't until our first morning we started uncovering the sheer lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the property. We immediately contacted someone who arrived promptly and simply said "yeah, I suppose I should have checked it but we're short staffed". They offered to clean it but with this attitude we had little faith the property would be any better and it would have taken a full day to get it to an acceptable level. We were contacted by the company who own the property (not Hoeseasons) who said they could try and find other accomodation but it was a bank holiday weekend and we had little faith it would be any better. Luckily we had a relative in the county, who took pity on us and let us stay with them for the remainder of the weekend. To make it worse, despite providing evidence, we had to fight for a refund and still did not end up with a full refund. Please avoid this property; such a huge disappointment. What should have been a relaxing weekend just caused so much stress and upset which then continued in the fight for a refund."
