"We visited Padron while on Camino Portuguese for one night as we approached Santiago de Compostela. The hotel is on the edge of town and further along the Camino than most hotels catering to pilgrims. Checkin was easy, our bags waiting for us, and our room adequate and spacious. We appreciated the fan in the room as there appeared to be no hvac controls. The room we had offered large windows giving us good light. The hotel sits directly on the train line but train service didn’t seem to conflict with our stay. The hotel does have a small dining room and bar. Our plan did not include a dinner package but we were still able to get a table. The front desk manager seemed put off when we asked for a table. Walking back to town to find dinner was not something we wanted to do and we were able to get a table after some convincing. Food was good. In the morning, breakfast was served next door in a larger dining space and the meals are preset, making breakfast very efficient. Getting back to the Camino was not a problem as the road on the other side of the train tracks intersects with the Camino about just to the North. In all, the hotel is good other than being on the far side of town making the last stretch and the daily segment longer than expected."

"I missed that it's not exactly a hotel, but the location is beautiful and the staff wonderful. Maria was super kind to us, and exceeded our expectations. It's worth staying there when you're traveling the Camino de Santiago, just consider whether the best option is to have dinner there or not, the menu is quite small."

"This hotel does not deserve four stars.. The design is pleasant but it is more form of function. My room had a stone buttress positioned above the desk, kettle and fridge. There was no coffee, just teabags. The room was cold and had a constant humming noise coming from the bathroom. The breakfast was very poor, with items not being replenished and the coffee machine not working."
