The location allows you to walk towards the Otaru Canal in less than 10 min. Very good location I would say. The room we got is of a decent size for two, is clean and we even have a nice City/ Seaview. Parking lot is just beside the hotel hence great for those who drives to Otaru."

(Eller tror jeg, der er også en skibsfart?) Kun odds var manglen på opkrævningspunkter i rummet (måske opgraderes til USB-sockes nær sengen) og behovet for at vende nøglen tilbage til skrivebordet hver gang du forlader hotellet. "It's so comfortable to live in Otaru~ This time I chose to stay in a B&B in Otaru and experience the life of locals 1️⃣Stay in the small suite on the second floor. It is very spacious. You can feel that the owner of the B&B has put a lot of effort in decorating it. It is clean and bright. 2️⃣ The service is very considerate! They will introduce the public areas of the big house in detail, as well as the supplies prepared in the room 3️⃣ From bedding to toiletries and towels, everything is very comfortable. Bread and milk were prepared when checking in, which is very considerate~ 4️⃣ Location: 3 minutes by taxi from the observatory, very close. After taking photos, you can go to the Otaru Aquarium to watch penguins walk and have a seafood lunch. It's really perfect. 💯 Recommended!!"

"I had an amazing time at this hotel. You will need to take 15 minutes taxi ride to reach here from Otaru station. It's right by the beach. Room is super spacious and comforting. There's kitchen and dining area. It was snowing so the balcony is filled with snow but the view is just so amazing. The staffs are very helpful. You can check in early with a small fee. Breakfast was simple. Complete amenities."

"Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Villa was very well kept, with excellent views of the ocean. Pleasantly surprised by complimentary puddings and drinks. Manual grinder and coffee beans were a nice touch. Cons: Unable to drive directly to the villa due to safety policy. This made loading/unloading luggage very inconvenient. The walk to the carpark required negotiating a slippery gravel slope, which was even more dangerous in low-light conditions. Recommend to improve this with proper stairs or paved pathway."

As for the outdoor hot spring, it is really not cold at all in the sub-zero temperature. It is very comfortable. After the bath, just put on the bathrobe and rush into the room to take a bath. Our family of three bathed every day and it was completely fine without feeling cold. However, I was glad that I had arranged to pick up the airport when I first checked in. There are two reasons. 1. Although there is a station not far away, it is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with it on a snowy day. After getting familiar with it for a day, you can take a bus from the station at the door to go in and out to play. 2. Because it is a homestay, there are many things that need to be communicated, including garbage classification... You can ask the driver to help communicate, and there will be no problem~"
