"The hotel is in a good location and very safe, only a 6-minute walk from Norwich train station. The owner and staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. Although the hotel facilities are simple, hot water boilers and coffee are provided. If you need a hair dryer, you can ask the front desk attendant for one. There are ample charging plugs in the room, including USB sockets and TYPE C sockets, with advanced facilities. Bring your own toothbrush and slippers. Everything in the hotel is very clean. The shower faucet in the bathroom is very powerful and the hot water is very comfortable, which made me relax during these few days of travel. Thank you for making a good choice. This hotel is very good overall. I will definitely come back next time 😉"

"Very clean, shared but extremely clean bathrooms. Next to road, but I ended up sleeping fine as quiet other than this. 2 bottles of water and biscuits snacks, tea and coffee v generous and price excellent. A wonderful Namaste Indian restaurant next door with discount for hotel guests. Great hanging space in wardrobe, comfortable bed, great room temperature. Only thing was I requested hairdryer. Man offsite and said it could be put outside door by morning. I didn't get it, and was slightly concerned about what to do if locked out of room/or if there had been card issue without someone present."

"This is the third time stayed here. It's a lovely hotel set in amazing grounds. Rooms are nice and the beds are very comfy. Breakfast is huge with loads to choose from or even cooked to order if you want. The fact you can use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room free of charge with your stay is an added bonus. The hotel is not far from the Park & Ride so easy to get into Norwich. I'm sure I'll be back again!"

"Booked the supreme room. Has own en-suite rather than shared bathroom. Staff gave a polite and friendly welcome through check in. Room looked tidy. Bedding was clean and crisp as were the towels. Bathroom was a little run down with layers of silicone over mouldy silicone and paint peeling off the walls, but water was a good and steady temperature and pipes didn’t sing. Chose to have breakfast out in Norwich as so many places to choose from but the hotel breakfast room looked light and airy. Hotel is based on quite a busy road near the station and just across the river from the main clubbing strip so can be a little loud if you are not a heavy sleeper, especially with the souped up cars and bikes revving up and down. Ideal place if you want to experience the night life of Norwich"

"The summer room is a small cosy unit attached to the main house with a separate entrance. It's about 30 minutes's walk to the city centre. We preferred not to walk the quiet streets after dinner to get back to the flat. There are a lot of parking options and it's a flat rate of 3 to 4 quids after 5 pm to the next day."

"The whole hotel feels stylish but not over-the-top. Our room was spacious, super clean, and had one of those little tables where you can sit with a coffee in the morning and just watch the water go by. Total bliss. Staff were lovely—friendly without being too in-your-face. Everyone just seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good time, which made a big difference."

Bathroom was also quite enough big and well cleaned. The following breakfast was also well variety and tasty. Very closed to Norwich railway station. "I am not really a fan of staying in pubs. It always seems like staying in a B&B, but with noisier fellow guests. The Recruiting Sergeant, however, has morphed into a very popular and upmarket restaurant and although it still has a bar, the only place to enjoy your drink is in the garden, as all the tables inside and outside are reserved for dining. It was very quiet by 22:00. The room was in a converted attic, with a very narrow and quirky entrance. The room was very small, but bed was comfortable. Surprisingly, the bathroom is much bigger than the bedroom would suggest, with a full-sized tub. On the downside, there was no shower, which made the morning get away a bit more protracted than usual as it took quite a long time to fill the tub. There is no air con, and as the weather was quite hot (30+) and the room was a converted attic at the top of the building, it was stiflingly hot at night. I would recommend timing visits for cooler days/nights. The dinner and breakfast were both outstanding. The portions at dinner were huge. I made the mistake of ordering a starter, so I couldn't eat most of the main course which was a shame as it was delicious."
