"I had a very satisfying stay. The accommodation is two stories. On the first floor, there's a kitchen and living room, one double bedroom, a toilet, and a shower room. The second floor has three beds, a toilet, a shower room, and even a small kitchenette. The space is very generous. Both floors have heating, which made our winter stay very comfortable. There's a car park just a 30-second walk away, and it costs 700 yen for an overnight stay. You can reach Nara Kintetsu Station just by walking out of the alley. The location is super convenient, and you can walk to 7-11 and Lawson. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it even has a gas stove."

"The hotel enjoys a convenient location and offers spacious rooms. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my stay. However, if you arrive before 3:00 PM, please note that this hotel is different from others: it does not provide luggage storage or delivery to your room. Guests must store their luggage on their own in the luggage room outside the lobby. Knowing this rule in advance can help avoid misunderstandings. During my check-in, the staff refused to store my luggage and told me to do it myself. Meanwhile, at the next counter, the staff helped a Japanese couple store their luggage and said they would deliver it to their room. I was very confused about the unfair treatment. Later, the staff checked and explained that they were VIP members and therefore eligible for this service. I’m glad I asked; otherwise, I would have definitely thought the hotel was discriminating against guests. That said, I still suggest the hotel check guests’ membership status first before directly refusing service."
KONJAKUSO Nara Naramachi "MUSHIBUROYA" Sauna Villa
"We stayed here for two nights and one night with three families, eight people in total, and it was very spacious and comfortable. There were two bathrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, so we had no trouble finding one. Each of the four rooms on the second floor had two double (or maybe king?) beds, so each of the eight people could use one, which was a luxurious experience. The bedding was also very comfortable. There was no mention of pajamas, but they provided some samue-style work clothes. There were two Refa hair irons, one for curling and one for straightening, which was nice. The refrigerator had four bottles of mineral water, two 1-go (approx. 180ml) bottles of sake, one shochu (approx. 180ml) of the same size, two carbonated drinks, and snacks. It was disappointing that there were only seven snacks for eight people. Coffee, tea, green tea, and sugar were provided. There was no milk for coffee. The coffee was served in a cassette dispenser. There was also a microwave, toaster oven, water heater, and rice cooker. The kitchen was well-equipped with the basic necessities. The glasses were made of plastic, which bothered me a little, and they were cloudy and scratched. It would have been nice to have hand towels (there were some in the bathroom). The living room, adjacent to the kitchen, had a comfortable sofa, a large-screen TV, and a Switch. The disposable slippers were made of fluffy towel material and felt very comfortable. The lighting was mostly indirect and dim. I wish there were trash cans in each room on the second floor. The bathroom had a sauna and a separate cold bath, as well as two rocking chairs for relaxing. There were two showers in the large communal bath and another glass-enclosed shower booth next to the toilet in the laundry room. The amenities were also plentiful. One thing I didn't like about the bath was the water pressure, which significantly decreased if multiple taps were used at the same time. The sauna was large enough for three adults to fit in at the same time. Sauna mats were also provided. I had been able to contact them by phone the day before, but on the day itself, I couldn't get through at all, which was frustrating. Later, I found a wooden box with a special item for contacting them at the entrance, but I wondered how this system worked. There were plastic umbrellas available at the entrance, but there weren't enough for everyone. However, we were lucky to get some unexpected rain. The location is great, within walking distance of tourist spots like the Naramachi area and Todaiji Temple. Being able to leave our luggage at 12 o'clock was a relief. It would have been even better if we could have checked in at the same time... Everyone was very kind, from the phone staff to the cleaning staff. Overall, I was very satisfied. I would have liked to stay another night."

"First, the hotel locates next to the JR Nara Station which is easy for access. The cleanliness of the room was as good as other Onyado Nono hotels which I stayed before. The staff was very helpful and the services were good. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing me which the variety of food was little especially the types of sashimi were too little compared with other Onyado Nono hotels."

"When we arrived, the reception area was empty with just a note telling us to dial 1 on the phone to alert the staff. We followed the instructions, but no one answered/came. We ended up waiting about half an hour before someone finally showed up. This was a big deal for us because we were hoping to drop off our luggage and visit Todaiji Temple before it closed. Because of the wait, we had to skip Todaiji entirely that day. The location is the inn's biggest strength. However, the rooms don't have tables to set your things on, and the walls are very thin. You can hear people in neighboring rooms snoring or chatting, and footsteps from the hallway are clearly audible. The shared bathrooms are clean. There's a cafe upstairs that opens in the morning for breakfast, and overnight guests get a discount. The food was so-so overall, though the local jam and honey were tasty. The rice flour muffins were dry. I wouldn't recommend this inn if you're a light sleeper or easily distracted by noise."

"Wonderful stay with excellent food, but a bizarre late-night experience We had a generally fantastic stay at ANDO Hotel Nara Wakakusayama. The dining experience was exceptional—both the breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious and well-prepared. We also highly recommend the nighttime stargazing activity. The hotel thoughtfully provided warm tea for everyone during the session, which was a very sweet and cozy touch. The hospitality was truly top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly, and since they knew we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, they went out of their way to make special arrangements for us. It made our celebration very memorable. However, there was one very bizarre issue during the night. Between 2 AM and 4 AM, we heard constant, loud running footsteps coming from the floor above. It was so loud that it almost sounded like someone was running right inside our room. The weirdest part is that the space directly above our room was supposed to be the hotel lobby or the parking lot. We just had to convince ourselves that it was some energetic small animals running around up there! Overall, it is a beautiful hotel with amazing service and food, though the late-night noise was definitely a bit spooky and affected our sleep."

The ramen shop right next to the hotel offers late-night supper option, with Matsuya just opposite the hotel, and a Okonomiyaki shop right behind. I deliberately asked for the third card, as it was obvious that we will need the third one.
