"The hotel location is convenient, right next to MixC. There's a subway station downstairs, and the high-floor hotel offers great views. We had a minor issue though – the air conditioner in our room was broken and incredibly noisy. We had to switch rooms in the middle of the night, but thankfully, we still managed to get a few hours of quiet sleep. The hotel duty manager and the front desk staff did their best to coordinate the situation. Their swift handling of the problem is commendable. The mattress is supportive, so even with a bad back, I could sleep comfortably."

"The toiletries are Byredo, and the toilet is a genuinely smart bidet. The bedding is comfortable, and you get panoramic views of Nanning. The hygiene is clean and tidy. The service is incredibly thoughtful. The front desk staff went above and beyond to meet all reasonable requests, and their responses were very quick. You could always find someone, even in the middle of the night, and they'd reply promptly. The concierge service was also excellent; unlike many hotels where concierges are just for show, they were proactive and helpful, solving many issues. I didn't try the dining or spa, so I can't comment on those."

The front desk staff patiently helped me review the surveillance footage and meticulously searched my room, and thankfully, they quickly found it. The room facilities were brand new and well-equipped, and the bedding was soft with excellent soundproofing. Katie, an angel, was warm and attentive throughout my stay, even helping me get a room upgrade and some fruit. This small incident unexpectedly showcased the hotel's warm service, making my trip much more reassuring. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Nanning."

"I found a hotel on the top-rated list that allowed me to use my points, so I decided to use up my 1000 points. Turns out, that was a mistake. First, the facilities are outdated, but for an older five-star hotel, that's somewhat forgivable. Second, the service attitude was really poor. When I booked, I didn't pay attention, and then I wanted to buy breakfast at the online price, but they said no, it's 88 per person if bought on the spot. They told me I'd have to cancel my online booking and either rebook with breakfast included or just buy breakfast at the hotel. I didn't bother to cancel because it was too much hassle. Their excuse was that their 500-600 RMB rooms were already very cheap, and they'd be losing money on online breakfast prices. Well, then why don't you raise your prices and see what your occupancy rate is? Plus, there was construction next door, making it inconvenient to get in and out. All I can say is, good five-star hotels have learned humility, after all, it's a service industry."

"There are two main reasons for this negative review. The first major point is that I originally wanted to book Nanning Hotel, but it was fully booked. So, I chose this long-standing hotel which seemed similar. I picked it because the listing said it was renovated in 2019, hoping for a better environment, and I booked a mid-to-high-end business suite. That's when the frustrating experience began. The hotel contacted me in advance, saying they'd upgraded my room. I thought it was because I booked through Ctrip (I've often encountered this and assumed it was normal). However, upon arrival, I found it was a suite permanently decorated as a wedding room – a full-blown wedding room! This was already quite annoying. I arrived at 3:30 PM, and the housekeeper hadn't even finished cleaning yet. And, by the way, it was never truly clean! I asked the housekeeper to remove all the wedding decorations from the bedroom because it felt too eerie to sleep in. She refused, and I couldn't be bothered to argue further, so I just dropped my luggage and left. When I returned in the evening, I found the bed extremely hard, which I'm not used to. I decided to sleep on the sofa in the living room. I went to the wardrobe to look for spare blankets, but the ones there were only loosely covered in plastic, not sealed, so I didn't take them. When I sat on the sofa, I found it was very dirty, and the entire room had a strong musty smell. The floor was also grimy. The musty smell was unbearable, so I complained to my friend (who was sleeping in the bedroom). She also couldn't stand it; even the bedroom air conditioning wasn't working properly. I started to wonder if I had booked the wrong room type. I checked my reservation, and it clearly stated 'newly renovated,' which was completely inconsistent with this dirty, old condition. Later, at 1 AM, due to the musty smell and the fact that I couldn't bring myself to lie on the sofa, I called the front desk. I asked to switch to a regular twin or king room. The front desk staff seemed very unenthusiastic, and I didn't want to argue with someone working late at night, so I just decided to make do in the bedroom. But then, probably because I was already so fed up, I noticed the bed was also crooked, the exposed bed frame was very dirty, the ceiling was yellow, and the remote control was also yellow – everywhere just screamed 'dirty.' I was so tired and had nowhere else to sleep, so I tried to change my flight right away, but the system was under maintenance, so I gave up again. I've attached photos of the hygiene situation and the discrepancy between the room type I booked and the actual room's decor. The second point is that I really don't understand what the staff at such a large hotel are doing. This morning, they sent me a text message asking for a good review. I don't know how they had the nerve to ask. I didn't sleep all night and checked out at 8 AM. If it weren't for the good impression Qingxiu Mountain left on me, I would have complained to 12315. This afternoon, the hotel called, saying I had left behind an item of underwear. I assumed it was a pair of briefs I had thrown in the bin and told them to discard it. However, when I was clearing my clothes just now, I realized it was a white vest of mine. I'm certain that's not considered underwear. I'd like to ask if the hotel staff are so incapable of describing things? Couldn't they have said it was a white vest or something similar? Comparing this to other old hotels, Nanning Hotel's towels are all individually bagged, and there's no musty smell whatsoever. You can't use the excuse that being by the river makes the air so humid that it causes such a disgusting musty smell. I truly don't understand what kind of 'upgrade' they gave me. Honestly, for over 1200 yuan, I wouldn't stay in a room like this even if you paid me 1200 yuan to do so. And I always thought I should just let it go, but after I checked out, they sent me a text asking for a good review. I want to say, if this were Atour Hotel, they would take a late-night call like that very seriously and would never ignore it, let alone ask for a good review. I wish you an early closure. And the clothes incident just made me feel disgusted all over again! Guangxi is great, Nanning is great, but this Yongjiang Hotel is disgusting and completely ruined my mood."

"I came to Nanning to check out the Holiday Inn Express, an IHG brand. Many say Holiday Inn Express is IHG's hidden gem, and I truly felt I got excellent value for money with its affordable pricing. The lobby has a Luckin Coffee, and right when you walk in, you see the 'violent bear' statue and an array of food and entertainment options, which is very welcoming for out-of-town guests. The front desk staff handled my check-in quickly and patiently. Xiao Guan even walked me to the elevator and informed me that the hotel's gym and laundry facilities are free. The breakfast had a rich selection of grilled items and hot dishes. The Old Friend Noodles at the noodle bar left me wanting more, but the most astonishing was the 'Guangxi Wellington Steak' – simply incredible! 👍"
