"We came to hotel NYA for our honeymoon and were very impressed by the service! By far the best hotel stay we’ve had so far, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff were very kind and helpful. Every day the staff delivered a little dessert to our room free of charge, and surprised us with a honeymoon gift of a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board with warm fresh made bread and a handmade card. We highly recommend NYA for anyone staying in Montezuma!"

Sunshine Sanctuary Boutique Jungle Lodge ★★★

"On foot and without a car, the hotel is very difficult to access, you have to walk and climb large hills, good physical condition is recommended. The strong point: superb, modern and comfortable room with a magnificent view of the jungle and the ocean. Hearty breakfast on the terrace. Negative points: non-existent staff, everything is done via Wathsapp. The hotel was under construction and the common areas were poorly maintained (swimming pools, stairs). The room was not cleaned during our stay. The cook was alone, a little overwhelmed and trying to get by as best she could in a kitchen with questionable hygiene."

Ylang Ylang Beach Resort ★★★

"Ylang Ylang was a slice of heaven. Nature, excellent food, friendly service and very clean. We were very comfortable. The yoga teachers were excellent and the pool refreshing, with visiting monkeys, tiger heron and iguanas. We had a little miscommunication about a tour we went on, but they made it right with us right away. I highly recommend Ylang Ylang!!!"

El Sano Banano Beachside Hotel ★★★

"The good: the hotel is located a short walk from the beach, right in the middle of the tiny town of Montezuma. Through their sister hotel Ylang Ylang, I booked a fantastic birding tour with eagle-eyed Eduardo. It was inexpensive and included breakfast and air conditioning. The not so good: the mattress was quite hard. I thought there might not be hot water, but it was just very slow. The layout is that there's a hallway with side by side rooms. The room had a window that looked out onto the hallway, but no exterior light. There were also noisy neighbors and there was no sound dampening. You have to ask for the wifi password. I tried to walk down the beach to Ylang Ylang for the pool, and maybe it was just me, but it was much more than a 10 minute walk! There is a shady dirt road, but nobody seemed to know how I could get to it. "

Hotel El Jardin ★★

"Now let me start by saying this hotel isn't perfect, it has a very steep drive, the room was fairly basic and the air con could do with a bit of work - however, the pricing certainly matched and this place had some great features too. Staff - the owner (I believe) who also worked on reception was a very friendly guy and was very helpful if you had any questions or needed anything. They provided biscuits, bananas and water in reception even though it was not a bed a breakfast. There's no safety deposit boxes in the room but they will keep any valuables locked away in reception and they seemed very honest and obliging if you needed to get anything from it or add to it. Rooms - Although the room was basic, it's pleasant enough, clean and has all you need. It had a nice area outside with wooden sun beds and a hammock for lazing around on. Very nice to chill out early evening before heading the very short walk to the shops for food/drinks etc Pools - 2 pools close together (one's just a higher level) a few steps up. Nice seat area in one and a slight jacuzzi, not very strong but again pleasant enough. The grounds are beautifully kept and are a major plus to the hotel. Location - Excellent location as right next to the shops/bars and restaurants but I'm guessing because our room was up a steep driveway, noise didn't really seem an issue. A nice stay all in all and a location (Montezuma) and a hotel we'd consider staying in again should we return."

"Uendeligt taknemmelig for Katy's receptionist, hendes hjælp, utrolig tilgængelighed, uden at reservere hjælp til, hvor du var i dine hænder, fordi jeg havde en række kontrasti og situationer, der ikke var under min kontrol, Afslutte uventet at komme til dette hotel og det super venlige og venlige personale ... Absolut Montezuma et sikkert, venligt, super venligt ... selvfølgelig jeg kommer tilbage,,, Katy igen muouuchas tak!!!!"
