"The hotel is old, as are the facilities. The furniture is worn, and there are few electrical outlets in the rooms. It was summer in Norway, so there was no air conditioning in the room, but the seagulls were quite noisy when the windows were open, as it's close to the sea. The view was nice, with the pier in front and cruise ships visible, and it's close to the old town. The hotel has its own paid parking for 175 NOK per night."

"The ocean view is fantastic, and the room has two balconies; large cruise ships frequently dock there. The bathroom facilities are somewhat basic and outdated. Also, because the windows are so large, the room can get quite hot during the day in the sunny summer months (most Norwegian hotels don't have air conditioning). There's a refrigerator in the room, but no freezer. The refrigerator is built into a cabinet, which has ventilation issues; you need to open the cabinet for it to cool properly. The breakfast selection is extensive, including all the typical Norwegian breakfast items. Coffee, tea, and other beverages are available in the hotel lobby. The hotel dinner is worth trying. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the hotel."
