"The service at this hotel was appalling. Every time our group asked for even a water we were treated like we were making a huge request. The staff very obviously didn’t want to do any work. There was no restaraunt and the bar opened when it suited them. Rooms rarely cleaned. We booked a taxi through the hotel and were waiting outside for over 20 minutes to check again and realised they hadn’t even bothered to ring nor did they bother to inform us. Without doubt the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Having seen a high rating I read through the reviews and think they may not be genuine as there are repeated phrases used throughout. Do not stay here."

"A new hotel located on a Blue Flag beach providing all you need for a great break whether for a weekend or a week which is what we stayed for. Everything was spotless with an on-site spa, pool, and attached beach club with sun beds both in the grounds and on the beach itself. Without exception the service from the attentive staff was excellent with the star being Valentina. We had an issue with our hire car which I was having difficulty in resolving not least because of my lack of Italian but Valentina became involved and took it upon herself to sort the issue out which she did. This involved multiple phone calls and a deal of patience on her side but she was brilliant. She also ensured we were able to get back to Catania airport at the end of our stay as the hire car was not returned to us."

"My sister and I had the immense pleasure of visiting Modica in May of this year. Our first trip to Sicily was a very pleasant surprise. This started with our accommodation in between Modica Alta and Modica Bassa. Nestled away below the steps of St Giorgio's Cathedral, the Siciliando is located in the perfect position to get to know the true side of Monica. Best of all, the welcome from Rosalina and Graziana was fab. They are in the process of renovating their beautiful palazzo (not that you would notice any disruption) and there is a wonderful sense of calm. Our room was in the newer part of the property so clean and crisp. The room was cleaned everyday and used towels replaced daily together with clean sheets after a few days. This is rare in B and Bs Breakfast is included and includes all sorts of homemade preserves and a freshly baked cake! Due to the location, away from the main roads, it was very quiet too. The only downside is the steps. This was not a problem for us but could be for others so it's worth checking with them. They will come to your assistance but obviously you'd need to inform them. All in all it was superb value and made our visit truely memorable!"

"We spent a few days in this resort as a family. It was well situated, lovely gardens, very clean rooms. Food was decent but not stellar, as were some of the staff who were at times brusque and seemed annoyed at our requests. A/C was inconsistent— some rooms were frigid while in others you could barely feel it was on. The pool was by far the nicest feature. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned and mopped every day and towels were replaced daily. The decor was a bit heavy and outdated and could use a remodeling. Overall the resort fit our needs for a nice family break very nicely. Thanks!"

"Generelt er resorten en god adresse. Beliggenheden i nærheden af Modica er god. Her er absolut ro. Anlæg er desværre kommet i årene. Især badeværelset synes at være blevet på niveau af 2016. Det er urenset, svampe af lukning og og i hjørner. Underlige pletter på gulvet foran toilettet ... Receptionen (Stefania) var meget venlig. Man forsøgte at gøre alt rigtigt. Vores værelse var virkelig stort og pænt indrettet. Den lille køkken (i skabet) er virkelig praktisk. Desværre er tingene delvist for højt indrømmet. Poolen ser fantastisk ud og er ren. Belastning virker ordentligt. Highlight er den tilbudte morgenmad. Der er mange friske mad, æg, frugt og grøntsager. Frisk brød og kage. For sicilianske forhold mere end godt. Tjenesten er meget opmærksom her. Jeg ville sige, der er intet at forbedre her. Med nogle af de pladser, jeg vil dog anbefale resorten. Fordi det i det store og hele er virkelig meget autentisk her. Den historiske anlæg er i det store og hele meget smuk."
