"We had our last night here prior to a morning flight. The airport is just 6 mins away by car. What a fantastic hotel!! Everything was new and looked recently, beautifully, refurbished. There's ramps and a lift, so it is ideal for moving cases or if you have walking difficulties. Everyone was so helpful, and the evening receptionist got us a taxi and recommended a fantastic taverna, at our request, in nearby Messini. There wasn't a restaurant for an evening meal. The breakfast was amazing though and was included in our room price. A fabulous buffet with a lot of hot and cold choices. The hot food was freshly cooked. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best we've ever had in many years of travels in Greece. We are planning on returning next year. Highly recommend."

"Oh dear Camvillia. No one can deny the stunning location of the hotel. You have some wonderful friendly and helpful staff but are totally let down by poor management. Housekeeping is simply dreadful; every day I had to go to Reception and ask for something - clean towels, more soap, clean sheets left at the foot of the bed, broken lamp and finally the paper bin in the bathroom not emptied. I do not wish to spend my precious holiday asking for basic things and then being told by Management that it is a five star hotel. Insincere apologies and nothing being done to resolve the issue is not good enough - even for a three star hotel. This was my fourth and last visit to the hotel. Get your act together and stop resting on your laurels."

"I had a really nice time at the Elysian Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and nicely decorated. My room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the modern style. It was easy to work from my laptop there. The bathroom was great, and I especially liked the powerful shower. The breakfast was delicious! They had a good mix of sweet and savory options, with fresh fruit, pastries, greek pies, and even some hot dishes. I would have liked the option to order eggs or an omelet cooked to order, but overall, the breakfast was very satisfying. The hotel also has a nice gym and a spa, although the gym could use a few more machines. They have a very good outdoor pool too. We attended the New Year's Eve buffet, but I wasn't super impressed with the food. The DJ also wasn't the most exciting. However, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank Vangelis, Andreas, Penelope, and Kathrine. Overall, I recommend staying at the Elysian Hotel. It's a great place to stay, and you can easily visit lots of beautiful places nearby!"

"Such a friendly hotel with warm hearted staff doing their utmost to make a great experience. Spotlessly clean and v comfortable, with good bar snacks. Lots of variety for breakfast. In a quiet street close to a working harbour don’t expect to see playboys and yachts here but fishermen landing their catch and giant turtles! A short walk uphill to the town’s square which has lots of bars. Just before you get to the square on the opposite side of the rd is a great restaurant with external tables and v gvfm with starter, main course and a ltr carafe of wine costing 29 euros for 2 of us. Old Kaprissa at the top of the hill near the Castle is well worth a visit and has great views and good selection of restaurants but you need a taxi at 7 euros one way. Would highly recommend this hotel"

"The main problem was the staff and its lack of accountability. We were there from the 5th to the 7th of august 2025. And we faced an electrical problem in our room (403 : refuse it !). Once the electricity was turned on, a noise (sizzle) came from an electrical outlet near the bed, then it was smoke that came out of it. We told the man at the reception, who reluctantly finally came in our room to check and decided immediately that the problem was the air conditionning that was too cold. And left us, obviously happy not to have wasted too much of his precious time. But of course, the air conditionning had nothing to do with the electrical problem and the smoke occurred many times again after he left us. So, to avoid a fire in our room and most certainly in the rest of the hotel, we decided to turn off the electricity in our room during our two nights stay in the hotel. Two nights without sleeping because of the high temperature (without air conditionning), but let's leave it aside, the staff irresponsability could have led to a disaster for us, the other customers and the whole hotel. Unacceptable ! Pierre Calmeilles PS : I also leave aside the incompetence of the staff that don't give a damn about a major electrical problem but don't forget to knock at our room's door at 11.30 PM to check if... we had dinnered at the hotel restaurant (which we didn't and will never do)."

"Hotel is in a super location just outside Kalamata on the hillside. Very convenient for the airport, a 20 minute drive away. Large rooms with sea views. Large comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was only ok. The buffet, whilst plenty of choice, was a little dull and the cooked eggs etc looked well past their best come 10.00am. Very good coffee though. Dinner was good, attentive service and quick delivery of food on the sea facing terrace. A nice pool but very little shade to make it appealing to use in the afternoons as the terrace is west facing. Helpful staff especially on a late evening check in. It isn't immediately obvious where you need to go on arrival in the dark. We initially got out of our car at the lower level and blundered round for a few minutes before realising reception must be elsewhere: it was, you have to drive up to the upper level. The design of the hotel is stark minimalist. It needs the planting to grow a bit more to soften the edges and provide more shade. Good choice though for late fight arrivals and/or early departures and in a quiet location."
