"This was the second hotel we stayed at on our birdwatching trip in Menglun. It was originally a backup plan because we booked the Wanglian Hotel late, but after staying there, we found it to be a hidden gem. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the botanical garden and the suspension bridge, which is very convenient. We walked there from the botanical garden. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by warm service. The landlady was incredibly welcoming, and there were complimentary candies, snacks, and fruits for guests to enjoy while they waited – a very thoughtful touch. After check-in, you can add the service WeChat account to let them know the breakfast time and location, nearby restaurants, and the Wi-Fi password. The service response time is also very fast; my room had a problem with the TV's internet connection, and it was resolved within 10 minutes. I think that's impressive for the town. The hotel facilities are relatively new, with a mahogany interior and ethnic style. The facilities are quite complete, and surprisingly, it even has a small gym – great! It's nice to get some exercise after a long day. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. If you don't want to eat breakfast there, there are many snack shops and night markets nearby. For example, there are many Dai-style restaurants in the village within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, offering authentic local flavors that are worth trying. The hotel has a relatively large parking lot, making it convenient for tourists arriving by car. A small gift is given upon check-out, which is also a nice touch. Overall, we stayed here for two nights, and our biggest impression was how incredibly welcoming the owner was. We were always ready to chat and provided a lot of information. If you're not particularly keen on the botanical garden night tour, this is a very good value accommodation in Menglun."

It is too friendly to tourists who come to visit the Botanical Garden. The geographical advantage is full. The hotel has its own parking lot, and there are plenty of parking spaces on the roadside at the entrance of the store. You don’t have to worry about parking when you drive by yourself. "The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful. A special thanks to the staff who helped me out when I had a stomachache one night – they arranged for the kitchen to make me noodles and then delivered rice porridge to my room the next day. Also, a shout-out to the short-haired woman (I'm not sure if she was a manager) who made chocolate milk for my child one evening. Most importantly, I want to commend the male and female staff members who accompanied us to the Dai village. The male staff member, in particular, held an umbrella for us the entire time and even bought us water out of his own pocket when it rained in the village, kindly refusing when I tried to pay him back. I was deeply touched. Overall, the hotel's environment and service are absolutely top-notch. It's true that the variety of dishes is a bit limited, but I understand that transportation in Xishuangbanna is generally inconvenient. However, the hotel's service is genuinely the best I've ever experienced. They never refused any request from guests, and often went above and beyond. For example, when I initially mentioned that the breakfast wasn't perfect, the chef personally came out to ask what I'd like, offering to prepare it. The exceptional service more than made up for the limited food options. Even after leaving, I still miss the place. It's a fantastic choice for a holiday hotel. Here's a suggestion for the hotel: perhaps you could add more variety to your dining options and restaurants, like hotpot or some simple meal choices."

Also, dining options are quite inconvenient (this is due to its location within the scenic area, too far from town, so it's not really the hotel's fault); you'll need to bring your own food. This place is suitable for travelers who don't want to drive all the way from Mengla, considering it's over 10 kilometers of mountain road..."

"Xiyuexing Cultural Tourism Hotel offers excellent value for money. The location is good and quiet, the rooms are spacious, and the decor is simple yet elegant. The facilities are complete and well-maintained, and the bedding is very comfortable. The front desk staff and servers are all very enthusiastic! Especially the owner, who is humorous and handsome, kept inviting us to have tea. I loved the design of the tea room, with a magnificent large slab table in the center, which was stunning. We tried their tea, and the owner enthusiastically introduced their Yiwu Ancient Tree tea. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Mengla."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, merely a few hundred meters from the botanical garden's north gate. Parking is incredibly convenient here, a stark contrast to the often-congested and crowded west gate. Just to the left, there's a fantastic local restaurant offering both breakfast and lunch. Their food is absolutely top-notch, incredibly affordable, and showcases authentic local specialties. To the right, you'll discover a Xinhua Bookstore with distinctive Dai ethnic charm, ideal for a relaxed hour of browsing. About 200 meters straight ahead, we found a fireworks shop. As it was Chinese New Year during our visit, we happily bought and set off some impressive fireworks! The front desk staff were wonderfully warm and polite. Evenings were wonderfully quiet, guaranteeing a peaceful night's sleep. The following morning, after a leisurely breakfast, our drive to Wangtianshu Scenic Area was completely traffic-free. If your schedule permits, I wholeheartedly recommend a one-night stay here; you're sure to have a joyful and serene experience."
