There are several nice towns nearby such as Marion, Spruce Pine, Bakersville, and Burnesville that have shops and dining year round. In the winter months be prepared for snow/ and or ice covered roads including our driveway. We cannot guarantee that the driveway will be cleared due to unpredictable weather and the lack of snow removal equipment. If there is a chance of snow/ ice, you will be required: to either drive a 4WD vehicle, have snow chains, or park below and walk up our steep 200 meter paved driveway.
