"I'll start with the positives, a beautifully presented bed and breakfast, including a very good breakfast. Unfortunately we didn't receive the warm welcome we had hoped for instead we felt judged and uncomfortable during our stay. We arrived early to park the car and were going to walk into the town as it was a beautiful day, the host greeted us and didn't really speak she seemed annoyed we were early ( we only wanted to use the toilet as we had driven over an hour) she peered into the car park where my husband and friend were at the car and saw they had a can of beer which she was disgusted at and made it very clear stating it was not a good first impression and thanked us! I wasn't aware we were on a school trip we are grown adults and I cant see what difference it made if they purchased a bottle of beer from their bar and drank it in the garden . She showed us to the room again reminding us to watch the beer as it didn't look good, the following morning at breakfast we noticed other guests leaving the breakfast room and thanking her to no response what so ever, extremely rude ! We all asked for the full Derbyshire breakfast stating the odd item we didn't want and to my amazement she shook her head at my request. We all felt extremely uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave. It is a real shame as it was a beautiful place to stay just not the host we expected"
