"After a week of safari in Tanzania, we were looking forward to recovery and lazy days by the beach. We arrived at Zanzibar Sunrise and were welcomed by friendly staff, a beautiful garden with pool and peaceful background music. The breakfast alone is a reason to stay at Sunrise, choosing from fresh fruit and vegetables, egg dishes and great coffee, at any point of the day. We had a base of shakshuka all mornings, because of delicious. The staff helped us find and book activities for our stay, a private boat picked us up outside our house and took us snorkeling with fish and dolphins at the reef of Mnemba. We went reef walking with one of the hotel’s knowledgable gardeners, to see sea urchins, starfish, sea cucumber and more, the tide can be quite dramatic on this side of the island. The lovely manager Farah handled some early quirks with our stay in a swift, understanding and professional attitude, we couldn’t be more grateful for that. The entertainment manager Michael played a key part in creating a life memory of a romantic honeymoon dinner, with flowers, small lamps. white cloth and an exuberance of flowers framed the evening. This memory will be with us always. The food overall was so good and we didn’t find the need to visit other hotels for dinner. The wine list was mainly south african and somewhat scarce due to the approaching end of season, but we had some great pairings to fish and seafood. (The tiger prawn curry in papadum bowl is to die for). Thanks for making our honey moon so special, we cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

"My daughter and I stayed here for a week in September. Maria and Paco went out of their way to make our holiday such a special time. They were so helpful with day trips and giving us so many helpful ideas. The staff are all wonderful and so friendly. Mohammad and Mona took us to visit their village and Spice Farm. We went on the dala dala and back by motorbike. We had a great snorkeling trip with Juma and on another evening he took us to visit Matemwe village. Freddie the Gardner always made me smile. Salma and Maria gave us the most wonderful massage. Salama Mbuyuni bungalows is simply a fabulous special magical place and does not compare to anywhere else I have ever stayed."

I år bookede jeg en indkvartering for to franske turister i 8 dage i dette hotel Zanoceanique men de opholdt sig kun to nætter og besluttede at flytte til et andet hotel, fordi dette hotel, sengematern var meget hårdt, Mine kunder sagde, de havde et indtryk af at sove på et træbræt.De sov kun 3 timer.Frue var ikke god, der var ikke engang en slange til morgenmad. Da de flyttede til et andet hotel, bad jeg om godtgørelse for de dage, mine kunder ikke boede, men de nægtede at tilbagebetale mig, mens jeg allerede har betalt tilbage til mine kunder 500 €.Jeg rapporterede dem til Zanzibars myndighed, men de gav mig stadig ikke godtgørelse. "Nice hotel for Mnemba Island tour, very close to the Island and the hotel staff was perfect. I had the best massage ever listening to the ocean and in front of the beach. The food is fantastic and they do not serve alcoholic beverage, despite the fact that I drink, I liked the attitude from the hotel to keep their believe above the tourists. Old hotel that need a lot of maintenance and worst beach in the Island, a lot of seahedges. "

"Such a magical place to spend 4 luxurious days after our safari. We walked straight onto the stunning beach from our accommodation, enjoyed time relaxing, swimming and reading by the pool, and ate wonderful breakfasts and dinners while there. Farah was an amazing host of the property, even lending my husband her husband's bathing suit after we realized my husband had forgotten his. She gave us a great history of the property and of the island, and ran a lovely yoga class every day. Perfect ending to our time in Tanzania. Couldn't recommend this more highly."

"We had a great stay. The entire property is so lush, green and jungely. A true oasis and very well arranged. It is a large ptopery, but thanks to the different areas it doesn’t feel large. Our room was spacious, beds comfy. The fan was sufficient for the nights. Bathroom was small, but sufficient and clean. Wifi was not great in the room, but outside it was well working. The pools are a great plus in the heat of Zanzibar. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but there were not so many guests. Staff is friendly. You walk around 15 mins to the beach or local restaurants."
