I have travelled quite a bit, but the warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care shown by the staff here is something very special. It never felt artificial or forced. Every single day, the team made the experience comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. Special thanks to Nikesha, Waruna, and Feros from the Front Office Department, Tharusha from Housekeeping, and the amazing F&B team including Damith, Lahiru, Thanuja and Dhanushka. Each of them created such a positive impression during my stay. A very special mention must go to Ranga, the F&B Manager. He is truly an asset to the hotel. Had a lovely small talk. An all rounder, highly professional, always attentive, and at the same time a genuinely kind gentleman who seems to support every department whenever needed. You can clearly see the teamwork among the staff, and I believe that is one of the main success stories behind this hotel. The rooms were excellent, the atmosphere peaceful, and the location itself is beautiful and relaxing. During the entire week, I genuinely could not point out a single bad experience. Paradise Dambulla should be proud of its people because they are the real highlight of this property and the reason guests will return again and again. Most definitely visiting again soon. Highly recommended!"

"Very nice, well-maintained hotel with incredibly friendly staff. The breakfast and lunch buffets were excellent. The views from the main building are absolutely stunning, and the architecture is unique. The only negatives were the shower by the pool and the balcony. However, we would definitely come back."

"We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Arika. The staff were so accommodating and flexible. The dining and pool area is beautiful. The trees and river next to hotel mean you can always watch the nature that inhabits the area from the comfort of your table. Our room was spacious, modern and with good air conditioning. From the balcony, again, you could watch the monkeys and birds. The food is really first class, offering a good selection but obviously the Sri Lankan curry selection was particularly good. Also, for those cautious travellers, you can rest assured that the hotel takes great care in providing plenty of safe bottled water. This was a very peaceful experience and would highly recommend for anyone seeking this too."

We enjoyed our private plunge pool, and the main pool with its stunning backdrop of the rocks was equally amazing. The food was delicious, and every meal felt thoughtfully prepared. At the hotel there are bicycles which possible to use for the guests and we had a good trip to Dambulla Golden Temple on them. The hotel is near bus station and big fruit market. All was perfect!"

However, it seems to be an area less frequented by tourists, as I was barked at and even chased by stray dogs when going out and returning from meals. While I don't know if they'd bite, it was quite frightening. Since it's a tourist-oriented area, nearby restaurants charge around 2000 rupees per meal."
