"Nicely refurbished hotel with a pool a short drive up the hill from Martigues with a forest behind it you could walk or run in. The staff / proprietor were welcoming and friendly and took time to chat to me and answer questions I had or recommend things to do or see either in or around Martigues. It had a feeling of being quiet and just enough out of the way to be private and not overly busy (I went at the beginning of August). My room was large (one of the larger hotel rooms I have stayed in) and had its own kitchenette with a hob, sink and fridge - Ideal if you like cooking while on holiday (not me, I prefer eating out) or storing bottles of water in the cool. The bed was comfortable. There was a smart TV which I didn't use (nice touch for those who watch TV while on holiday, which is not me), the bathroom was just the right size. The pool area was tastefully designed and decorated. Great to have a private pool to chill out in and around listening to the cicadas. It was very good quality for a reasonable price."
