There is a lot of work to do, but I must say with all honesty that we were pleasantly impressed by the staff first, and then, the beach. Wonderful. Nice shuttle service. 15 minute journey that is absolutely worth doing. We want to go back immediately"

"What a wonderful hotel: beautiful location, lots of green, acces to the beautiful rocky beach. The room with terrace was great. A bit dated but the bed was good, as was the bathroom. Good breakfast on a terrace with seasight. Good parking. The personnel was super friendly. Highly recommended!"

"This lovely hotel is located at Marina de Maratea 5 kms south of Maratea proper (and has a separate train station that many trains do. It stop at so check your train ticket!). The hotel does have a shuttle and they kindly picked us up from Maratea station. Rooms are very pleasant and in really good order. The restaurant onsite is excellent. Breakfasts were delightful as was the dinner we had there. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a private beach, but there is a public one close by. Wifi in rooms can be weak at times but is strong up in the reception lounge. The hotel has a great indoor pool and bar area. All up if you opt to stay near the beach then this hotel at Marina de M is a fantastic option, we really enjoyed it."
