"I stayed here after arriving solo on the New Japan Sea Ferry from Otaru. This was my second time in Maizuru, and I had the impression that the city was a little dark, so I was a little confused, but I finally arrived at the Maizuru Grand Hotel in Nishi-Maizuru. There's a public bath on the rooftop that's open until midnight. Room doors are unlocked with a key. Cleanliness: 5/10, very good. Environment: 5/10, a bit far from the station, about a 20-minute walk, but the price is relatively cheap. There are izakayas (Japanese pubs) all the way from the station, so you won't have trouble finding food. There's a Lawson convenience store downstairs, so it's convenient to buy things.
