"Mafia Island Basecamp has a wonderful ocean view, beautiful property, and spacious updated rooms. The rooms are very comfortable with double shower, air conditioner, hairdryer, and in room tea/coffee. The staff is friendly and very accommodating! I enjoyed the food (large portions and tasty), the only thing I would add is regular coffee (rather than cappuccino/latte) and pina coladas (there are other cocktails offered but with all the coconuts around I was craving a pina colada). The beach bar is exceptional for a nice Indian Ocean breeze. The pool is absolutely amazing! Saltwater and not brutally cold like some, yet still so refreshing! I didn’t try scuba or whale shark swimming, but the lodge was happy to arrange these things as well as other tours if I needed. The massage also was excellent. I believe this property is the best one if truly want to be right on the ocean! I would come back!"

"Nice bungalows set in a well tended garden. Lovely airy restaurant lounge. The manager was very helpful, including helping us to deal with the airlines which is well above and beyond the call of duty. Location is a 15 minute walk from Utende beach. You can borrow a bike (Meremeta has bikes) or get a tuk-tuk."

"Jeg kan nemt sige, at det er den bedste ophold, jeg har oplevet.Vores værelse var smukt, rent og tidligt.Sengelinned var enormt og super behageligt. Maden hver nat var så lækker, alt fra kokosnødde til salat ved frokost og kødet var helt perfekt. Service var igen, den bedste jeg nogensinde har oplevet, vi havde umbarellaer faldt til vores værelse, da det regnede, og da jeg var solbrændt, bragte Adie frisk aloe Vera! En meget tænkelig og godt sammensat hold, som, når kort bemandet arbejdede super hårdt for at holde os glade.Mange tak Francesca og Marco for at have os, og lære os så meget om øen!!Jeg håber, at vi ses næste år!X"
