"The hotel seems to dislike catering to tourists. (1) The cleaning staff were completely rude; they didn't greet you when you met them and would stare at you. (2) The decor was relatively new, but the equipment was too old. The old-fashioned sofas and chairs looked severely faded. These should be easy to replace, so why were they reluctant to do so? (3) I arrived at 3 PM and waited almost an hour to check in. (4) The elevator didn't require a card; you could go anywhere, raising serious security concerns. (5) In the mornings and evenings, you could hear a long, loud noise from cargo ships (see picture). It felt like the whole building was shaking. Combined with the old doors and windows offering no soundproofing, it was a nightmare. (6) Breakfast was served at the same time as a wedding service, and to save time, it only stayed open until 9:30 AM. The advantages were the nice river view and a fairly substantial breakfast selection."
