"Stayed longer so much to see around. Great park. Kids playground, games room. Rv sites perfect size, not crambed at all. Owners are wonderful, very pleasant and helpful. Seasonal, daily, cabins. Laundry facilities, pool. Lots of wood for camping. June was perfect , so quite."

"It was the peak season of travel, the hotel was tight, the first time I booked a motel, I felt that the price was average, although the sparrow was small and complete, the room was small, the bed was small, and the room type of the cottage that was not booked by a friend was good."

"Ok this is going to be long, ill try to make it short. It was hubby and mine 50th Anniversary and being at other resorts along the south shore, thought would try here for a change, never been here, and have heard and read good things bout oak island. Here is my review and I apologize to those that have stayed here and gave great reviews. First the good, Room- was very clean and had all that u would need. Ac worked great, cause it was very hot. Food- little expensive, but the server was very friendly and service was great. No complaints bout the food. Now the bad and please bear with me cause I have alot to say, Check in- got checked in right away, filled out and signed the form, and that was it. Didn't tell me where anything was, dining room, pool, where to park, only how to get to our room. U think u would have a map of some sort to show where to go. Had to ask where everything was. The guy at the check in counter didn't crack a.smile, I seen the extra 100.00 dollars on my check in form, asked why that was there, didnt explain very well so I could understand, so, there better not be an extra 100.00 on my visa. Next, asked bout smoking outside on the deck, being an ex smoker, hubby still smokes, he said no definitely not, very stern he was, jeez, give me a break, be thankful I asked, the other places we have stayed allowed smoking outside long as u kept windows and doors shut cause of smell of smoke, outside on your deck. I totally understand that smoking offends non smokers, and the smell bothers, but, we aren't around other people, we not leaving our butts laying around, brought my own ashtray. Being here for our first time thought I be more impressed, so sorry, but nope. Oh, and our room was supposed to be ocean view, if looking at other rooms, both sides of you, and the marina and pool in front of u, os not ocean view. For what we paid , and it was.alot, was hoping for better"

"The place was warm and cozy. Margaret was an excellent host, very knowledgeable about the area and we were shown alot of warm hospitality. Continental Breakfast choices were fresh and delicious, and raisin bread was freshly baked. Will definitely come back if we are ever back in NS."
