"I stayed in this city for one night and didn't enjoy many facilities. There are few breakfast options, parking is free, and there is no extra charge for a small dog to stay for one night. Staff enthusiastically solve problems."

"The room was tight with space and the shower room the size of a closet. The wash basin was cracked. Where the manager was very charming and helpful her staff left much to be desired. Their body language left one with the impression that they were tired of tourists invading their space; indifferent and could not look at you in the eye. Table service was very poor showing a lack of training and experience. We were seated at a table but not given any menus. After waiting a quarter of an hour we noticed other couples arriving were seated and given menus immediately. At that point I got up and asked a member of staff for a menu. Having supplied our order we were kept waiting half an hour before the first course arrived while other customers who had arrived after us were served before us. Our dinner took us two and a half hours! On departure, after two nights, we were checked out by one of the assistants who was very curt, could not look at me in the eye and could not bring herself to wish us a pleasant journey! Cannot recommend this hotel"

Château de Chantore

"Chantore is enchanting! Not only is the castle beautifully and elegantly decorated, the grounds are magnificent. And the hosts, Inaki and Bernard, are kind, considerate and gracious. I felt like royalty! Walking the grounds is a soothing and delightful experience with surprises along the way. Not only do they have peacocks, there is a swan family as well as horses. I was surprised to see a Giant Redwood tree and there are several on the property. Breakfast was a delight with great food in a room filled with antiques, particularly blue and white china. It is amazing how you feel you are in a wonderful castle but are also comfortable and at home. I will always remember my wonderful stay there. "
