"Great garden but sadly run by very defensive owner/ poor management . Please read attached screen shots to see defensive owner’s response to my honest google review. Says it all. By the way we left with 500 tips to the staff after we got “kicked out” as we complained about construction noises since day 1. Never mind the in room non existent WiFi, I also struggled to get online in front desk area so wasn’t able to make upcoming travel arrangements till last minute. Ps I did not get warned of the ongoing construction before booking or checking in. On last day we really wanted some peace and quiet so moved to hotel next door and they are amazing, quiet , great WiFi as well. So no, not the whole area is affected. Orginal review that got defensive reply from owner : Great staff, cool treehouse never mind the bugs, one black out during 4 day stay. 1 star off for having construction during the entire stay, they should consider closing the lodge while work is being done or warn us so we don’t book. We travel all the way for peace and quiet but end up with construction work noises all day . Another star off for no stable WiFi it took me an hour to send a message just to arrange the next leg our trip. Another star off for realising someone had been in our open private toilet while we were sitting out on the dock. The toilet hose was left on toilet bowl, and mud all over floor. Hotel should consider security and privacy when you get 10 constructions workers coming in and out daily."

The service is brilliant. We did the half day paddle boarding which was a great trip. Loved this place"

"Definitely is perfectly worthy to this hotel’s price. Don’t expect first class comfort but still family tries to do their best. Very good bed and mattress. Breakfast not so abundant but still more than enough for a room’s price. Perfect location to watch fireflies, you won’t need more than 1 single night here. Still, these fireflies actually weren’t that exciting as supposed to be."

"We are the Big Femyli, on this special occasion—my wife, my two children, my 2-year-old granddaughter, and two friends—for a total of 9 people, we're staying at this hotel for two nights. It's a beautiful place, and we have the option to eat there, so we jump at the chance. But then the "buts" begin. Yes, but you have to tell us right away what you're eating. Fine, give us the menu, and of course, it's written in Filipino, the site is in very small print, the tradition being in English. Okay, fine, after the various games without borders to get to the island, we don't feel like arguing. Each person chooses, and we agree to eat at 8:30 pm. We eat, and after 10 days, we manage to find sparkling water in a can, delicious, only two cans. They bring it to the table, and we have to say it went well, and we want to try again the next evening. After being out and about all day, when we get back, they ask us for the menu for the evening, and we promptly tell them everything and go to the shower. At the best moment, the first message from the group arrives: there are no more fries, there's no bacon for the eggs, there were still a couple of things we bought. Big question, but if you're in the center of town, why don't you send some random guy to buy them? What a fool you'll look like. Everything was supposed to revolve around fries, and instead... in my room, Room 1, the air conditioning works until midnight, after which it's scorching hot. A very appreciated thing is the nighttime trip on the river to see a tree full of fireflies, they almost looked like Christmas lights. Amazing."
