"The room was okay. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning, and the fan in the room was very loud. With the window open at night, you could hear everything from the street and the tram. It's not really recommended in the summer for anyone wanting comfortable temperatures and/or peace and quiet while sleeping. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection, good coffee, and egg dishes. The reception and check-out were very friendly. The welcome included a drink, chocolates, and a map in the room. A late check-out (one hour past the allotted time until noon) would have cost €35. The location is good, a maximum 5-10 minute walk to the main train station and city center."

The only thing that bothered us just a bit were the noises that other guests were making at the stairs and at the shared rooms. The girl with black hair at the reception was very kind and helpful. "The stay was unfortunately a complete disaster. The floor in the room was badly stained and looked unhygienic – completely unacceptable for a hotel. But it got even worse: during the night, part of the ceiling collapsed! This could have been extremely dangerous. I immediately reported the incident to reception, but received neither an apology nor any suggestion of a solution. Even after my written complaint, I still haven't received any response. No customer service, no sense of responsibility. A hotel that doesn't address such issues is absolutely not recommended. I will definitely not be returning – and I can only advise everyone to do their research beforehand."

"This hotel is very very centrally located and with air conditioners in the room! It is just few minutes walk to most of the scenic points. We were there during the heat wave when the temperature was like 40 degree celcius so we were able to get back to the hotel to cool down and take rest and went out again whenever we wished. Service is top notch compared to most German hotels and staff speak fluent English. We also had dinner at the restaurant which turned out to be the best food we have during the 3 week German trip."
