"There’s not much around the hotel only for the corpus museum. Very hard to get taxi to the city center as the ride is too short and every time I booked a taxi, then they canceled our ride on the app, no taxi is coming to pick us up, very inconvenient location if you don’t have a car."

"Advantages: The room is clean and hygienic, the service staff takes out the trash and does simple cleaning every day; it is very close to Leiden Central Station, 3-5 minutes walk. There is AH to go in the train station and JUMBO and ALDI opposite, which is very convenient. The front desk speaks very good English and has a very good attitude. It happened to be New Year's Day, and the hotel also prepared candies and sweets like sugar cakes for guests at the front desk. Disadvantages: There is no heating, it will be a bit cold after taking a shower in winter; the water pressure of the shower is not enough, and the water of the shower is small; the lights are not bright enough, and the room is dark."

"We booked three rooms here for family members. All 3 rooms were clean had comfortable beds,and were pretty well equipped ( hairdryer, tea coffee etc). Rooms were quiet ( we stayed Sunday to Tuesday). Like many older Dutch properties the stairs are pretty steep; they do have a handrail and were no issue for us but may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or with a lot of very heavy luggage. We personally found the check in and key collection straight forward and the receptionist af the sister hotel Rembrandt ( where you pay and check out) very friendly and helpful. Overall, we found it a good,value for money stay in spotlessly clean rooms."

"I was quite surprised by the reality of this hotel, considering it has such good reviews on TA. This is NOT a boutique hotel. There is nothing boutique about it. It is basically an AirBnB masquerading as a hotel. We did not have any contact with a human whatsoever. We were given a pin code to enter the building, key left on the desk. At check out, we just put the key on the table and left. There is no lobby, no bar, no gathering area whatsoever. Breakfast costs extra, so we just skipped it. That all might have been ok, but the quality of the offering was poor. I will say that the bed was great! But aside from that, no full-length mirror, thin towels, very dim lighting, no bathmat, no tissues, no lock on the exterior windows which open directly onto the sidewalk, room not very clean, including a dirty kettle (ew!!), hair from previous occupant on the mantle, leaves on the floor--well, it was not a place that I would return to. It's sad, because it is a great location, and the spaces are nice, but the experience is sub-par. I gave it two stars for the excellent bed, great location and good shower."
