"Unfortunately, we are very dissatisfied with this hotel. For a high price, we received a room that felt more like a dorm. The furnishings were spartan, and the bathroom was an afterthought – so small you could barely move. Breakfast was made with poor quality ingredients and had very limited choices. Overall, I'm very disappointed that we paid much more for the room than it was worth."

"The hotel is clean, but still feels like it's from the 1970s. The bathroom has been redone, but it's small but functional. The breakfast is complete, but with packaged products. The essential parts of the hotel have been completely redone (windows, doors, etc.), but the rest is as it once was. Little attention to detail. For the price we paid, it seemed like good value. The owner is a distinguished lady and very helpful with advice. If you don't have high expectations, this is a good option to consider."

"My wife and I stayed at Blu Hotel in July 2026. Our room was clean and quiet, and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Lavagna and from the beach, and the neighbouring town of Chiavari is also within easy walking distance. I loved that we didn’t need to hire a car — it’s easy to explore other coastal towns by train, which stops in Lavagna, a 10-minute walk from the hotel."
