"We stayed at Ella Rocrita from 23rd–30th July 2026 as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 4) in a Junior Sea View Suite on an all-inclusive basis. Overall, we had a fantastic, relaxing holiday and would happily recommend the resort to families. The Highlights The standout feature for us was the food. We’ve stayed at a lot of all-inclusive resorts over the years, and this was probably the best buffet we’ve experienced. The quality, freshness and variety were consistently excellent throughout the week. Another huge positive was the availability of sunbeds. There was no need for the usual early morning race to reserve loungers, and with several pools spread around the resort it never felt overcrowded. The all-inclusive drinks were also a pleasant surprise, with a good selection of premium branded spirits rather than the usual local alternatives. Our children absolutely loved the pools. There was plenty of variety with different depths, which allowed them to build their confidence in the water throughout the week. The main beach pool had a particularly nice atmosphere, with a DJ playing chilled Ibiza-style music during the day, giving it a relaxed holiday vibe without being overwhelming. Our Junior Sea View Suite was comfortable and well maintained. Any minor issues we had were dealt with quickly, and the coffee pods were replenished daily, which was a nice touch. The kids’ club also deserves a mention. Sessions were available morning, afternoon or all day. We chose to send our girls for a few afternoons, and they genuinely wanted to go back each day—which says everything. A Few Downsides The resort is quite large, so be prepared for plenty of walking. It’s mostly downhill towards the beach and uphill back to reception, which may be worth bearing in mind if you have young children or mobility issues. The bar and pool staff work incredibly hard and always remained friendly, but they could really do with a few more team members during busy periods. The lifeguards were perhaps a little overzealous at times. We completely understand banning large inflatables and lilo-style floats, but preventing our 6 and 4-year-old from using simple flotation rings seemed a little unnecessary. If you’d like to eat in the à la carte restaurants, book them as soon as you arrive. Availability is limited and they fill up quickly. Finally, we experienced several overnight power cuts during our stay. Obviously this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but when the power returned all the lights in the room came back on, which wasn’t ideal with two young children asleep. Overall Despite a few minor niggles, we had a wonderful family holiday. The excellent food, quality facilities, relaxed atmosphere and child-friendly pools made for a genuinely enjoyable and restful week. We’d certainly consider returning."

"We had a very pleasant staying! The newly renovated room was gorgeous, good standard overall in facilities and services, good value and delicious food. Most staff members also very kind and happy to serve. Many of them offered that little extra that we didn't expect. Just by the beach also a few nice restaurants and bars."

"We travel a lot, all over the world, and we’ve stayed in many excellent hotels, including some truly luxurious ones. Because of that, we very rarely take the time to write reviews. But Istron Bay Hotel deserves one. We came as a group of eight people – two families with children – and every single one of us left with exactly the same impression. We didn’t just enjoy our holiday; we genuinely felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is stunning, with a wonderful private beach and crystal-clear sea. The rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent, and everything is well organized. But what makes this place truly exceptional is not the buildings or the view. It’s the people. During our stay we met so many wonderful members of the team, and every single one of them made us feel that our happiness genuinely mattered. A special thank you to Yiannis, Michalis, Katerina, Petros and Anastasios, who were always smiling, kind, professional and ready to help. Every conversation with them felt natural and sincere rather than simply part of their job. But what impressed us even more is that this wasn’t limited to just a few outstanding employees. The same warmth and positive attitude could be found everywhere – at the bars, in the restaurant, on the beach, by the pool, at the water sports center, with the animation team and throughout the entire hotel. We honestly cannot remember another hotel where every department worked with the same genuine enthusiasm and kindness. As guests, you can immediately feel when people are simply doing their job and when they truly enjoy making others happy. At Istron Bay Hotel, it was definitely the second. Our children felt comfortable, the adults felt relaxed, and all eight of us kept saying throughout the week that this hotel had something very special. It wasn’t just the facilities—it was the atmosphere created by the people. In today’s world, many hotels invest in luxury, design and amenities. Those things are important, but they can all be copied. Genuine hospitality cannot. The management of Istron Bay Hotel should be incredibly proud of the team they have built. They are the reason guests leave with smiles and the reason people want to return. Thank you to every single member of the staff—not only those we mentioned by name, but everyone who contributed to making this one of the most enjoyable holidays we’ve ever had. We arrived as guests. We left feeling like friends. We will definitely return."

I think this was the worst hotel I since years stayed and far far below any modern standard. Only the hotel lobby felt comfortoble.
