Green Resort

" We enjoyed our stay chez in the Green Resort in mid-August 2023. The setting is very pleasant, set in a wood consisting of exotic cypris trees within a manageable walk to the beach and right beside an active bar/supermarket. There was very pleasant entertainment each evening (special mention to the French signer Clemence, who was great). The bungalows are very well equipped and are in a truly lovely setting with sufficient space between each one – although it would be preferable to clarify the cleaning service options. Ideal for a peaceful time. There are 2 pools and there were different activities offered for all our young teens – although they did not avail of them (also as there were not always in English, but mainly cause they were ‘teens’!). Personally I loved the massage I had. We enjoyed cycling around too, with lots of local sites and towns to visit, all within 30 mins by bike. You may wish to reserve your bikes in advance in peak season: “1 Velo” (100 meters from the club offers a great service). What was particularly memorable was that all the staff who always had a smile no matter the weather (we had a lot of rain!) and were invariable helpful. Thank you to all for making our happy holiday. One request for the future, would be to keep some lightning on around the bar and on the street late in the evening, as we could easily have tripped over the pavement (my Dad who enjoyed the stay is 82!). The only negative I could offer is the that it was expensive (although I do admit that August is expensive in France), anyway apart form that an excellent beach vacation. "

"An excellent hotel, very nice overlooking the lake, beautiful view from the very adequate terrace. Very friendly staff. No fridge but they supplied a kettle for us. They were just finishing a very expensive pool renovation but too early for us. The only downside was the restaurant - very expensive for the quality of the cuisine which was poor - we had to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay. The breakfast was adequate but 16 euros each was excessive, especially as the egg boiler refused to work on 2 occasions - no hot buffet. Nevertheless less we enjoyed our 4 days stay."
