"We had a pleasant one night stay in El Rincon. It is easy half hour drive from the windmills in Consuegra. The accommodation is located in small town on a quiet plaza. We parked easily along the small park in the middle of plaza. It is a traditional house furnished beautifully with antiques. We had a good size room on the second floor. Everything was very clean. Our host Juan was welcoming and friendly. Our Spanish is very basic, but we could communicate through Google translator. Breakfast was simple and tasty. We had a good rest in El Rincon and we highly recommend this place for a comfort, convenient location and a great hospitality."

"Having read some of the negative reviews, I realise we got away very very lightly compared to some. After driving nearly 5 hours to get to this accommodation, we wandered all round the village, found the road this 'hotel' is supposed to be on, but could not find it. So we ring. We say, we are parked a few yards from where you are, but cannot find you, please come out and let us in. I presume it is the owner, a guy, says we have been trying to ring you all morning because we have a boiler problem and you cannot stay here. No, you have NOT tried to ring me at all, or indeed contact me through booking dot com which has an efficient messaging service. We tell him we have driven hours and what are we supposed to do? He offers us an apartment in Cuenca but gave us no details about it, just told us to go to Cuenca. It is 25 miles away and we are tired! We drive towards Cuenca and to cut a long story short, we decide to ring booking dot com and get them to help us. It took HOURS to get something sorted because booking say the place Cuenca doesn't exist. We meanwhile get urgent messages from Casa Rural La Quinta saying they have fixed the boiler and to turn round and go back. No thank you! We managed to get booking dot com to cancel our booking at Casa Rural and we found our own hotel in Cuenca. The whole process took many hours and we felt very let down. What surprises me is... this sort of behaviour by this 'hotel' has been going on nearly ten years!"

"A modern, ultra clean repurposed wine cooperative that is more than a hotel. The food is of the highest quality at a very reasonable price. We ended up turning it into our base for exploring the region for 4 days! All the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and generous. And they allowed us to park our motorcycles behind the building in a locked up area at no cost. Make it a destination and you won’t be disappointed."

"A spectacular renovation and restoration of a stately home to safeguard the historical heritage of Castilla-La Mancha and attract quality tourism to a town like Belmonte, which is worth a visit just for its Collegiate Church and Castle. The downside is that a good idea turns into a mediocre experience due to the neglect of its facilities. A luxury, four-star hotel (actually barely a third star) with uncleaned hallways, rooms with lint on the floors, a lack of gel in the bathrooms, windows opaque with dust, tables piled up in the elevators, and a small, almost invisible staff. It's a shame, because the idea, an imitation of Paradores, was good, but either the regional government lacks the budget to maintain this type of facility or the management isn't carried out by professionals. For now, it's a missed opportunity."
