"Room was very small for a twin room. Chipped toilet seat. Chipped enamel on the bath. Toilet roll holder hanging-off the wall. Beds were fresh and comfortable. Robes for the spa are old, tatty and very off-white and off-putting. The spa is like a crèche. Constantly noisy and fully of children, impossible to relax. Bar area full of children and noise. No log fire burning or tranquil ambience - felt like a motorway station. Bar staff rude, inexperienced and noisy themselves. Waiting time unacceptable for bar food (pate!). No room service even though my friend broke her leg!!!! No attempt to see if she needed anything during the days she remained in her room…. Had to beg staff for help at every juncture. It appears to be a lack of training I hope, because if it is attitude, I feel we have not stayed in the same hotel as some of the other reviews, which is why we chose the hotel in the first place. Shabby and very disappointing."

"We booked this absolute little gem of a hotel last minute for one night on 22nd July! What a treat! Tony at Reception was so nice and welcoming; the room was super comfortable and immaculate - lovely linens and bathroom, and a large balcony with very nice views! Also a side window overlooking their secure car park. Just a minute or so from centre. Just a fantastic small, friendly, client focused hotel. Gentleman at Reception following morning also very nice. We didn’t have breakfast or use their pool but am sure they were also great! Highly recommend this really lovely hotel and staff team brilliant! Thank you 🤩"

"Hotel carlina was excellent for February skiing. The hotel staff are great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is magnificent with lots of options. The ski lifts are a 5 minute walk and the town is very close."

Hotel les Sapins ★★★

"Friendly staff, nice rooms and cosy bar area. Some parts are just a little tired.... The seats in the bar are not comfortable! It's convenient to eat in their restaurant, but actually the food was fairly average. The ingredients used were perhaps not quite top quality and it was obvious that some of the veggies had been cooked previously and reheated rather than prepared fresh. However, most of the staff were very attentive and the proximity to the slopes and town centre is fantastic. You can literally ski to the hotel door! Overall a good place to stay and we would go again."
