"The location is near to bus stops and train station which allowed us to take the bus / train conveniently to all places of interest. It is within a quiet neighbourhood. Convenient stores are within walking distance. Sleeping rooms are in upper floor. Difficult to bring large luggage upstairs. We did laundry and the washing facilities are well equipped. We reached early before check in time and the owner allowed us to keep all luggages inside so that we can continue our sightseeing 👍🏻 We had a broken luggage that needs to be thrown away but we didn’t know how to throw it since Japan has strict rules on garbage disposal. Luckily the owner was kind enough to help us 👍🏻"

"The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and a prime location, within walking distance of several major attractions, yet it remains quiet and peaceful amidst the bustling city. For breakfast, I opted for the Western-style buffet. While the buffet selection was limited, there was a complimentary à la carte menu. The à la carte items were delicious and beautifully presented, and the desserts were especially tasty. Regarding the hotel facilities, the flower arrangements in the public areas were beautiful. However, the quality of the disposable amenities in the rooms was average, particularly the toothbrushes, which were quite hard. I went to the supermarket to buy a new toothbrush the next day. The mattress, pillows, and comforter were also quite firm, resulting in a poor first night's sleep. The next morning, I contacted the hotel to request a softer mattress and pillows, and the staff were very helpful and assured me they would handle it. When I returned to my room in the afternoon, they provided a 15cm high mattress and two softer pillows, which helped me sleep much better the following night. The hotel also helped me book a reservation at the Michelin-starred restaurant Kyoto-wa, where I enjoyed traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine."
