"My daughter booked Santa trip through Tui ..absolutely fantastic . We stayed at this hotel for four nights ,full board . We had a family room ,just behind reception. Room was perfect,well equipped.. Full kitchen amenities..dish washer..microwave, kettle ..Hobb ..plenty pots and pans . If you are going self catering everything you need . Super market is 10 minutes walk. Fantastic airing cupboard, which dries your snow suits effectively. Rooms are spacious..plenty room for family of four . Shower room ,with sauna. We had breakfast,lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Porridge is the best I’ve ever eaten , Mrs Claus secret recipe I was told ☺️ Plenty of choice ,something for everyone..my grandchildren never went hungry..and they can be a little fussy . Lunch and dinner was equally excellent… Staff are all very nice , but I believe if you treat someone respectfully, warm and friendly..they reciprocate it . Hotel has a regular bus service to a nearby ski resort..(7 euros each way ,per person..we booked a private taxi 20€.. It is free to sledge there ..the children had great fun for a couple of hours . We then lit a fire in a nearby yurt ( wood and matches there for your use ,free) Part of our holiday booking included a trip to Santa village ,husky ride ,and snowmobile ride .. I can fully recommend this hotel .. It has always been top of my bucket list to visit Lapland at Christmas..so lucky to have my been .. Pure magical from start to finish. We were even saw the northern lights!..wow"

"Holiday Club Ylläs has several different apartments in several different locations. The address Tunturintie 16 A 1 means the reception (YlläsAvain) where you pick up the key. Apartments are located 1-3 kilometers from this point in different areas of Äkäslompolo Village, Ylläs, Kolari. However, notice that Ylläs Saaga Apartments are situated in Ylläs Ski Resort, 14 kilometers from Äkäslompolo Village, and they have an own reception. It is easy to come here by public transport, too. I took a night train from Helsinki to Kolari railway station and then a bus from the railway station to Äkäslompolo. My apartment was named Kesänki (street address Metsätievantie, this is not the same as Chalet Kesänki). Actually Kesänki is a villa or more precisely a half of a semi-detached log house. It is similar to Kuer (street address Tievarinne 1) but Kuer has a partial lake view and Kesänki has a forest view. Kesänki has a living room with a kitchenette (full tableware and a dishwasher), a bedroom (some steps between the living room and the bedroom), a sleeping loft (very deep stairs), a bathroom with a washing machine, an electric sauna and a terrace with an electric grill. You find beds for 2 people and extra beds even for 4 people. So Kesänki can accommodate 6 people. Normal bikes were available for 2 people (keys in the vestibule, a kick sled in winter). I especially loved beautiful traditional walls made of logs. Otherwise whole apartment was very modern and immaculately clean. Only the panel between the washing machine and the hand basin was out of shape. Excellent hiking trails, cross-country mountain biking trails and in winter cross-country skiing tracks start by the lake Äkäslompolo only 100 meters from Kesänki. The small Äkäslompolo beach is situated 500 meters from Kesänki. So this accommodation is perfect for an active holiday. Still good restaurants and shops are situated only 1-2 kilometers from Kesänki. Overall this is one of the best accommodations I have ever had in Lapland."
