"The hotel/apartments were great, amazing location, fully equipped apartment... The only downside was the food, we stayed half board so had breakfast in the Colorado bar, the selection was very limited and they only had one 2 slice toaster which was very frustrating. The staff were also rude and very unhelpful. Dinner was in the piste restaurant, staff were very friendly and there was a kids play area which was great. However the food selection was very poor: 2 meat options, one veg and one potato and the only drinks available were water and coffee. Each meal worked out at £26 per person per night, it was definitely not worth that when you can buy a large pizza over the road for £14! We have already booked again for next year but this time self-catering!"

"Friendly staff, contacted us on our way to ask for our time of arrival. Because it was getting late the lady fixed us soup and bread. Not a lot of space to put stuff, but that was all clearly in our description. Cosy bed and very comfortable. It’s so big you can’t find your partner at night. We could choose our breakfast in advance. All we asked was freshly made and baked. No wifi in the iglo, only in the main building. But I think if you ask for it, they can fix you something."

"Facilities: Basic kitchenware and tableware are provided, and there are many cleaning supplies, but some tableware is not clean. Bed sheets and towels are charged per person, or you can bring your own. Shower gel and shampoo are provided. Free parking is available. Cleanliness: Self-cleaning or paid cleaning (49 euros, excluding dishwashing, garbage disposal, and bed making) is available. Self-cleaning includes vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the toilet, washing dishes, garbage disposal, and bed making. Staff will inspect the room after check-out; a 100 euro fine will be imposed for failure to clean properly. Upon check-in, some cups had food residue or coffee stains and were not cleaned properly. There were many loose threads on the bed. Environment: A 30-minute drive from Olranca National Park. There is a mountain bike track nearby. The room was very stuffy in July, reaching 30 degrees Celsius. The ventilation vents were not very effective at cooling down, and there were no windows for ventilation, making it feel like a sauna. The only way to cool down was to leave the door open. Service: A completely self-service rental without a reception desk; you can only contact the host online."

"This hotel was the perfect spot to stay in Ruka! Very close to the lifts, boarding was sick! Never been that cold in my life, I’m a born and raised Texan but it sure was fun to experience it. Very comfortable room for my friends and I. Great bar and restaurant downstairs! Staff was very friendly. I did leave my goggles and would love to get them back if possible, I sent an email but haven’t heard back. Other than that, loved the stay and would definitely stay there if I ever find myself in Ruka again. "

"We did not sleep there but did guided snowshoeing. Harry was very friendly and drove the tour with passion and knowledge. We loved the 3 hours we spent together! The soup served there after was excellent. Kiitos Harry and happy walking in beautiful Lapland !"
