"This is really sad to write a such an email. But it is the only way now before we share our experiences with others. When we are on holidays, we always look for a 5* hotel to pamper ourselves within the budget we have planed. That was the reason we reserved a 2-nights stay at Lux Talay in Private Villa with the pool. This was not our first time in the area. We have been 2 times a year here for a weekend getaway or whenever our schedules allow. This time we just wanted to try the new hotel. We arrived at the hotel short before 2pm. We were greeted by the gentleman. The check-in proceed was quick. There was nothing special. We were escorted to the villa by another lady who informed us some more details about the hotel, restaurant and etc. She was nice. Later we went to the hotel cafe for a late lunch. Just to play safe, we always ordered Thai food. But the food we ordered were not that delicious as it should be. There shouldn’t be wrong with Thai food when you are in Thailand. Anyway we didn’t say anything because there was no question from the staffs. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine. The gentleman who served us the wine was very nervous. We are confident that he is not well trained for that. At the end we ordered 2 cappuccinos which were very good. There was no sparkling water available here. Another surprise for us. Normally when the food in the hotel is good, we would eat and spend time in the hotel. But we agreed to go to Aava Hotel for dinner as we were there a few times before. The foods and the services there never disappoint us. The villa we got was huge enough for 2. Of course with the price they offered, living space with kitchen, sleeping room and bath room. The hotel is pretty newly opened but the cleanliness and maintenance show the lack of attentions. There are dirts on the wall and floor and etc. The pink pool towels are smelly. Perhaps there are set in the villa for a long time. There are no hooks for bath towels. There is a wooden rack which is not really make sense to hang the towels after using them. At the terrace by the pool there is also no rack to hang pool towels. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Again wee did not report these issues to anyone. We also had a small issue with the security lock at the main door. We felt unsafe so we needed to call. It took almost 20 minutes but no one showed up. So I needed to call again. Later came 2 housekeeping ladies. Confidently they couldn’t fix it. They needed to call another technician and the whole process costed our time to wait for such a security mistake which must be checked before. Safety and security play major roles for us. After dinner we went to the cafe for cocktails. I ordered Singapore sling and my husband ordered Luxtalay Punchy. I asked the gentleman who took the orders if the hotel has a Bartender who is able to prepare us good cocktails. He replied yes. Classic cocktails must be the same or similar every where we order. We drink cocktails and we know "

"I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely consider coming back. One of the highlights was the large swimming pool—it was spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing or getting in a proper swim. The hotel also features a cozy coffee café, which was a great spot to unwind with a good cup of coffee without having to leave the premises. Another unique touch was the fish pond spa, which added a fun and relaxing experience during the stay. For those driving electric vehicles, the availability of an EV charger is a big plus and shows the hotel is keeping up with modern needs. Parking was never an issue either, thanks to the large parking area that made coming and going very convenient. Overall, the hotel offers a great combination of comfort, amenities, and thoughtful facilities. Highly recommended for a relaxing and hassle-free stay."

"The location of the resort is amazing. Wonderful long semi-private beach surrounded by mountains. Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Well maintained bungalows and gardens. Lovely albeit small swimming pool. On the downside the road to the resort is very tricky. I can’t imagine driving there at night or in rainy weather. The food was also somewhat disappointing, merely okay but not something you would expect at the resort of this class. All in all, the place is beautiful but the value for money is not that great."

"A unique and interesting travel location. Bit of a oddity with a animal farm and fish spa The free fish baths are a must, with the one in the river the best (3 inch fish attacking your feet like piranhas to eat the dead skin) Internet was a bit spotty though"
