"Resorten er smuk, og personalet er meget venligt og veluddannet.Der var imidlertid et par ting, jeg forventede at have i denne type strandresort. For det første, som et strandhotel, er badeværelset ofte vådt og sandt, så jeg forventede at have et sted i rummet til at vaske og hænge tøjet til at tørre næste dag. For det andet tilbyder hotellet ikke en kaffemaskine til en eftermiddagskaffe, og jeg ville værdsætte det, hvis der var en kaffebutik eller kaffe i. For det tredje, når jeg går med børn, forventer jeg, at børnenes aktiviteter vil være på stranden, hvor alle familier hænger ud.Græsarealet bør bruges til en legeplads osv. For det fjerde savnede jeg en køkkenet i rummet.Det ville have været nyttigt at have et køleskab og en mikrobølge. Vi havde en god tid og ville tage tilbage til en anden ferie."

"Basic, but comfortable and clean. Air con works a treat but is noisy. Didn’t bother us but just in case it would be a deal breaker for other people. Staff helpful and friendly. Sea warm and about 30s walk from our room. Would definitely stay again if I was ever in the Keys again."

Drift Hotel

"Small, friendly hotel, pleasant setting. Very nice access to the water with kayak loan…. Free parking. The rooms are clean with basic equipment (coffee machine, fridge, chair and table). THE Staff is pleasant. You have to be transported. Some restaurants nearby (more or less by car). If you are looking for a place for breakfast, don’t hesitate to go to Harriette’s, a 10-minute walk away."

"On Balance Gilberts was ok but I would not want to stay more than a couple of days. We where probably not its target customers. The rooms where really nice with a great view but my sister was at the end of the block right by the sewage digester for the resort which made a humming noice which was audible in the room at night, it also smelt really bad in the mornings. Admiralty this could only be smelt outside the room. Suggestion screen the digester and put some filtration for the odour. Plus point they treat the sewage. Thursday night was Ok in the bar although the rock band thought they where playing a stadium, just way too loud, when they stopped and some normality returned the bar shut at 2100, Friday and Saturday, better music but the place was rammed with a lot of kids running around. We would have gone out but the resort is isolated and its almost impossible to get a cab, if you do its very expensive and no guarantee you can get one back. If you have a nominated driver than getting out is an option. Saturday the beach, the bar where just full to bursting, first stop on the Keys out of Miami. A lot of very drunk people having a good time which is fine but if you are not one of them its no fun at all. A visible police presence kept any potential trouble from happening. We where going to go to the pool but there was no room left in the water never mind the side. It is supposed to be for residents and they are supposed to ware a wrist band but that is not enforced, very few in anyone had a wrist band on. In short its not a bad place but don't go if you want a relaxed Keys vibe, stay away from the rooms at the end of the block and only go midweek but only do that if you want to be in bed at 2100. Good points, comfortable rooms, nice views, and very nice staff."
