The Lake Hotel

"There are a total of 6 hotels in the Ireland Island Tour, and this is the most satisfactory one. Highly recommended, the environment is super good, a little distance from the town of Killarney, but driving is not a problem at all, and you can rent a bicycle in the town. Next to Killarney National Park, the hotel itself is in a park-like environment, with a beautiful lake, and deer were seen at night. The century-old hotel has a retro decoration style, the room size is suitable, and the service is also great. I stayed for two nights and experienced one night of dinner. Steak, salmon, and flounder are highly recommended"

The Reserve at Muckross Park

"Pros: The environment is beautiful, the room is spacious, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Parking is right outside the apartment. The air is fresh, like living in a forest. The service was also excellent, proactively suggesting they have a five-person room, saving us a room. When we entered, toys and snacks for the three children were neatly laid out on the coffee table. I've never seen this in all my years of traveling abroad. The only downside is that the bedding is a bit worn. Also, it's a popular place, so it can be difficult to book. I tried to extend my stay a month in advance, but they were sold out."

Denne gang besøgte vi en fætter fra NY, og vi havde en stor tid at besøge familie over hele amtet og ud over det, altid i viden om, at vi havde en komfortabel og velkommen base til at vende tilbage til hver aften, ikke at nævne de vidunderlige morgenmad Tak igen Eileen x"

Salmon Leap Farm B&B

"Sean was welcoming friendly and very helpful. Salmon Leap is a more traditional place to stay than some tourists might want, but it was fine for us. Pretty location in a valley, not too far from Killarney (20 min drive). Delicious local sourced food very nice indeed in sensible portion sizes but Sean is more than happy to provide more if wanted- the breakfast including the coffee was savage (very nice!). Internet works ok which helps as there’s no mobile signal in the valley. Sadly couldn’t get the TV channels to work in the room but there’s a TV in the lounge, and you can use the room TV to watch YouTube/netflix/prime but you’ll need to log into your account which we couldn’t do as they wanted to send security code to our phone- which had no pickup. Didn’t spoil our stay in this lovely farmhouse BnB. Oh and the beds are sooo comfy. And the decor is perfect for visitors as a slice of traditional ireland :) bring your own shower gel/ shampoo, and there was no tea/coffee facility we could find in our room, but neither affected us. We’d really recommend as long as telephone contact and TV don’t matter. Nice."

"We had two wonderful nights at Quinlan & Cookes this week and cannot recommend the place highly enough. Kate, the owner, was incredibly welcoming & helpful with local knowledge of the area. The room (we had the suite) was stunning, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and perfect in every way. The breakfast provided was delicious, a lovely selection of juice, muesli, greek yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, a fresh fuit bowl, fresh croissants and slices of lovely Irish bread with the most tender & tasty slices of smoked salmon & brie. We ate in the restaurant both nights, the food was so good. The first night we had starters of crispy calamari & local moules - both stunning. For the mains we had steaks which were perfectly cooked. The food was so good we ate there the second night too and both had the crispy calamari with homemade chilli jam followed by incredible fish & chips (never had hake before but I am definitely having it again!) and my other half had the slow-cooked beef cheek with mash & red wine reduction + veg - so good! Our stay here was the absolute highlight of our week in Ireland, can't recommend it highly enough - treat yourself and stay at Quinlan & Cooke - you won't regret it."

"David and Doreen were wonderful hosts in this lovely Bed and Breakfast. The Tides, located in Ballybunion, is close to the ocean and not far from the interesting town of Listowel. The Tides is also a great base for exploring the Dingle peninsula, and even the Ring of Kerry. The amazing shower and comfortable bed in room 6 are simply wonderful!, and the breakfast is gorgeous! Don't hesitate to book your stay here!"
