"Booked a couple of months in advance but was not told the facilities would be restricted due to 'improvements' being undertaken until a week prior to my visit. No parking was available on site so had to park in a public car park approx 400 yards away. The restaurant was closed so no meals were available. A complimentary breakfast was provided at the reception where you could pick up a dry, pre-packaged croissant, coffee and a piece of fruit. In the evening had to wander about looking for somewhere to eat - luckily the weather was good!"

"This was the first time we had stayed at the Lodge @ Carus Green we weren't disappointed, the views for breakfast are amazing, room was clean with a large and comfortable bed and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very modern and spacious. The staff are friendly and attentive. Although we didn't have dinner here, we had breakfast on two days and it was great. It's just ashame that they don't serve evening meals on Wednesday and Thursday. But we still had a great stay."

"Stoppet til frokost i dag.Det var meget travlt med Xmas fester af dets udseende, men vi snublede os ind.Vi valgte 2 kurser fra Xmas menu, som var meget god værdi for penge @ £23.95 hver. Fødevarer var meget gode og varme, kalkun, mad, svin i tørklæder, tørrede kartofler, tørrede kartofler, kartoffelknolde, parsnipper, rød kakao, Bruxelles-sprot, majs, sukker snaps/bønner? Ørkener - julepudding og brandy sauce til hubby og jeg havde espresso Martini ostkage, der var lækker.Jeg anbefaler højt dette anlæg, og vi vil helt sikkert besøge det igen.Tak for at servere kvalitetsmad."

"We arrived here for Sunday lunch ! A bad mistake . If we hadn't chose the beef ,there was an extra charge of. £ 2.50 for a Yorkshire pudding on chicken or lamb !! Given the cost of. £ 16, 95 for the main course , which consisted of the meat , mashed potatoes , cabbage accompanied by a luke warm jelly gravy . No roast potatoes , cold plates , poor quality , A child's. fish + chips with NO fish content unless paste, greasy, inedible . Drinks on top , premium prics . Tatty surroundings . Our worst Sunday lunch ever . Your only plus is your staff . !! "

"The location of the hotel is excellent just off the M6, so nice for a stop over. The scenery around is so beautiful. I phoned the hotel a day before and asked about Toiletries, Towels and Air Conditioning. I was told Toiletries are included and Air Conditioning is available but Towels not provided.  When we arrived, we found Towels were there but no Air Conditioning in rooms. The hand wash and shower gel bottles were there but empty.  Luckily fan was provided in the room. The carpet and furniture is a bit run down. If you get a deal for £40-50 for the night it might be ok for a night stopover but £135 was overly charged unfortunately because a last minute booking but it is not justified."

"My wife and I stayed at The Lodge whilst walking the Dales Way. It is about 1km south of the path but well worth the extra walk. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, our bags had been placed in our room by the hotel (the only place on the whole route that did this, which was much appreciated). Bedroom and bathroom were excellent as was the clubhouse. Shelley in the office was especially helpful. Would definitely stay again."

Jo is a very nice lady and couldn’t be more helpful . She’s got a lovely personality and does her job very well. Elloise is a nice person too and we had a lovely conversation about dogs. Both of them are a real credit to the hospitality industry. "
