"The hotel has a beautiful building and setting, rooms are big enough and staff is friendly, but that is about where it stopped for us. Our booking was not made or lost, we luckily got two rooms, took about 30min to get ready, safe was locked, no toilet paper and shower went cold after 2 min. Smaller bed than expected and room looks and feels like it is neglected. Bar only has one red and one white wine and one beer, although the bar menu is about 1 full page of items. On the dinner menu about 30% of the menu was not available. I must say the dishes that was available was very tasty. The whole hotel lacks a vibe, that touch that makes one feel home is just not there and more availability of F&B Proximity to nature reserve is great, but I think one can do a bit better and still be in the same area."

"I was really looking forward to staying near the forest, but I almost didn't sleep a wink and froze to death. The mattress had a huge hole, and there were enormous rats running around everywhere. I was terrified all night. I went out at 2 AM to seek help from the hotel, but no one was there. I was terrified in the forest. It was very cold at night, and there were no blankets. I was so cold that I had to wrap myself in all my clothes. The hotel facilities were like those of a rural guesthouse, only suitable for backpackers, not for inexperienced travelers. It's also far from the city, more suitable for foreigners than Chinese tourists. The night was filled with terror; I spent a night in the rats and freezing cold—a truly unforgettable experience. For this price, this experience is absolutely terrible. One of the worst hotels ever, a very bad experience. A hotel that almost drove me to despair; I barely slept a wink all night."

"Stay at this Hotel at your own risk, while accommodation was ok with all the ammenites like safe & wifi connection, clean & serviced thoroughly the food was awful and the resturant staff rude and disinterested in anything remotely resembling service, unless you were Indian. The location was certainly ok and we managed some lovely works outside the Hotel grounds. Pool area was fine but the pool itself was encrusted with dirt about 2ft below the waterline. In all with a good clean and some staff training this could once again be a lovely place to stay. We are surprised at the 4 star rating. In our view this Hotel should rate as three stars."

"Its a bit run down though I was advised that it was just recently acquired and that they are going through refurbishment soon. All in all, convenient location and the food was really good."

"Similar to all the hotels on our Mercury tour. Room large, comfortable. WiFi ok. Pool very nice. Food Similar to all hotels in Sri Lanka we have visited. Breakfasts all very similar, hardly any cereals. Went to Yala, didn't see any Leopards. Went to Elephant Transit home, great to see feeding time. Overall, good stay."

"Vi var ikke sikker på, hvad vi skulle forvente, men det var en stor overraskelse.Vi blev velkommen og fortalt om stedet, deres miljøpolitik og det arbejde, de gør.Vi blev givet frokost, før vi gik ud til vores eftermiddag safari. Vi havde forventet en ganske grundlæggende mad, men det var lækkert.Vores safari guide og chauffør gav os masser af information og arbejdede hårdt for at spore dyr.Vi var heldige at se et par leopards, da vi forlod til aftenen. Vi oplevede også den store elefant på vejen til Yala, en lokal karakter!Tilbage i lejren fik vi en aftendrikke og derefter en fremragende måltid.De lavede en særlig sværdfisk-taske for mig, der var fantastisk. De laver eller kilder lokalt deres mad og er klart forpligtet og lidenskabelige over, hvad de gør.Vi havde en tidlig morgensafari næste dag, hvor vi så en række fugle.Nogle af de stop, vi lavede, var ret rolige. Vi fik en frisk morgenmad, før vi gik ud.Vi var i Mouseeer telt, der havde alt, hvad vi havde brug for.Igen, langt over det, vi havde forventet. Hele holdet arbejder hårdt for at sikre, at du nyder dit ophold, giver masser af råd, vejledning og pleje.Vi nyder virkelig vores oplevelse."
