"Very Good location The staffs are friendly. Our room is very large bed but the bathtub doesn't have curtain and shower for cleaning hair easily."

"CRESTA MOWANA has a good atmosphere and potential to be very successful. However a number of staff have a tendency to bias locals rather than those from outside the country. I found that as a Zimbabwean staff seemed as though serving me or my family was a burden or inconvenience. I will say we were a big family and we are energetic however we treated them with respect smiling and being kind as that is who we are. The lodge is beautiful and it is a destination to experience nature at its best and I would recommend it. However their staff are holding them back not all were bad some are doing their part and making the experience worth while notably our game guide."

"Clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is conveniently located along the main road but also far away enough from the city noise. Only problem is our other room didn't have a safe, so we had to share a safe."

"The rooms are comfortable and practical but could use a mini fridge. The restaurant is the same as most in this part of Africa . Food tends to be served luke warm as opposed to hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and stay again."

"Everything about this accommodation is just so harmonious and inviting. We received a very warm welcome, and the welcome drink was served with a wonderfully cool towel for refreshment. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and the housekeeping team did an exceptionally good job. The food and variety were of high quality and very delicious — and there was even vegan cheese for me 🫠 Since the service staff during mealtimes was quite young, I believe there was a lack of experience in both service and food knowledge. There’s definitely room for improvement there. In the afternoon, we went on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River with our guide BK. We saw so many incredible animals. The elephants swimming across the river, almost fully submerged — that was absolutely spectacular. And when the sun set in the evening, the scenery looked like a dream come true. The next morning, we joined BK again for a game drive, where we saw many elephants, lions, tsessebes, roans, sables, and more. BK is a truly exceptional guide — both on land and water — very humorous and, above all, highly professional. He shared his passion and knowledge about animals, birds, and amphibians with such enthusiasm that I couldn’t have wished for a better guide than BK. Thank you, BK, for creating so many unforgettable and incredible moments."

"The Lodge is a great place to stay. The rooms were attractive and looked out on a lawn and the river. Wart Hogs and Bush Bucks were seen every day on the lawn. The dining room and bar both had good views over the river. We did both the sunset river cruise and game drives. The river cruises had very good captains with extensive knowledge of the animals and birds. Any birder would be excited to have so many birds identified. Saw a lot of game coming to the river including Croc, hippo, elephant, cape buffalo and several types of deer/antelope. This was a very relaxing activity and the gin and tonic made it all the more enjoyable. Our game drivers did a good job trying to find a variety of animals. We were lucky enough to see a pride of lions and a couple of different leopards. Since we were there at the end of the dry season, most of the animals were spending a lot of time near the river, but we still saw a good bit of game when we were further inland. There are a lot of game drive vehicles in the park so if there is anything of particular interest (leopards/lions) the drivers usually hear about it, increasing your chance of finding the animal. The downside is that this means a lot of trucks around the animals, but the drivers were good about taking turns to get the best views. The food was good. At breakfast (after the morning game drive) you could order a hot meal and it was supplemented with a large buffet. The fruit was fresh and the bread choices were high quality/fresh baked. A lot of misc choices as well. Afternoon lunch was available at the bar area. A limited menu, but again the food was very good. For dinner there were a couple of place you could eat. We just went to the main dining area which had a buffet. Each night there was themed option (Italian, Indian, etc), but also a lot of other choice such as stir fry, carved chicken, carved beef etc. Again the quality and quantity was good. The rooms were well put together. Air Con worked and in the hot/dry season a blessing. There were attractive mosquito nets around the bed, at night, but we never saw any mosquitos inside or outside. WiFi was good. We were in a unit that was about a 5 minute walk to the main lodge, but that was fine. If mobility impaired, try to get a closer room. Bottled water was supplied, and some very light snacks were provided. The balcony let you look out over the river and see the animals on the lawn We would stay here again if we ever get back."
