A small tip for future guests — if you want the scenic view of the beautiful Kandy Lake, book the Superior Room, as the Deluxe Room faces the road. Also, take note that after 11:30 PM there is no room service, and food delivery platforms may not be available either due to closures or limited riders/drivers at night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great experience."

"Another fantastic stay in the best hotel in Kandy. This hotel is very beautiful and has the best pool in Sri Lanka! From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel like a VIP. The rooms are lovely, very clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms could have the bath removed and just a shower but this does not detract from the loveliness of this hotel. The food in the restaurant is excellent with good choices. One night we had Buffett and the second night a set menu. Breakfast was always buffet and if you wanted something that was not there, the staff obliged by bringing it to you. I cannot recommend all the staff highly enough but must give a shoutout to Indika and Lahiru, who both went the extra mile for our group. A sincere thank you! The only criticism I have of this property is the wifi. It was very slow. This hotel has spectacular views over the river. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Make sure you choose it for your next visit to Kandy!"

"The photos gave the impression that it was a quiet area, but it is located on a noisy street with a lot of traffic near Kandy Station. So, even at night, you can hear a lot of noise from the street. The room was very simple, and it was fine for only one night, but the price seemed a bit high for the room. There was no mineral water or refrigerator. The good thing was that they allowed me to check in early even though I arrived early. I was able to buy tickets for the Kandyan dance at the front desk, and they also called to reserve a seat for me. Therefore, I was able to watch the Kandyan dance from a seat at the front (although it was on the edge) without the trouble of buying a ticket. Also, since I had an early train the next morning, it was nice that the station was within walking distance."

"It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together."

"Short stay, but made to feel special by our marvellous butler Manjula. We arrived at 5.30pm. Quick easy check in. M fired up the sauna and we had time for a swim and poolside cocktails before sunset. Dinner outstanding on the veranda. Minestrone and aubergine starters, then the local chicken (spicy) and prawn curries with all the trimmings. Room big and very comfortable (nb no bath). Lovely home made chocolates! M served breakfast on the veranda at 5.30am as the sun was rising, and we left for the airport at six. Beautiful place, phenomenal views."
