"The room was very spacious, but there was a bit of dust, so the cleaning wasn't very thorough. Overall, it was still pretty good. The train station is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, so if you're not too tired, it's a nice, quiet stroll. If you're tired, you can contact the hotel for a pick-up/drop-off."

"Our overall stay here was a delightful surprise. Before booking, I was quite apprehensive after seeing a number of negative reviews online, which made me hesitant. However, once we checked in, I was truly amazed: the hotel boasts breathtaking, endless ocean views, and you wake up every morning to a stunning vista of the blue sea. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, more than enough for our family of three. The hotel features natural hot springs, not just heated tap water. My daughter even noticed the salty taste, which confirms the authenticity of the spring water 😂. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, and can even communicate in Chinese. The only minor drawback is that some facilities are a bit dated, but for just 1,000 yuan a night, the value for money is outstanding. If your main itinerary involves visiting Izu Omuroyama and seeing the hydrangeas at the zoo, and you won't be spending extended periods inside the hotel, this place is an excellent choice. The drive along the coast offers continuous scenic views; the atmosphere is unique and incredibly therapeutic. I genuinely recommend it."

"The first time was my first trip to Izu. The hotel we stayed in had an extremely nice environment, although it was an old one. But the facilities and services they provided were really excellent. It's highly recommended. Especially the breakfast, it had everything and was of the buffet type. The only thing to note is that when you make a reservation, you must definitely book the breakfast and dinner. But if you don't get them, there is also very delicious grilled meat nearby. And there is another one, a little bit further away, called Tokai Maru. The fish there is extremely delicious. It's really, really good. I recommend it to everyone💕"

"I booked on the day and stayed here. I was worried about the fact that the baths were reserved for four people, but I was able to use them at the right time. I was also able to use the open-air baths across the street, Ishihanaumi, for free, and the sunset was very relaxing. There were too many hotel staff lol. Everyone was smiling and I had a pleasant time. I enjoyed the wine at the front desk. If the morning coffee had been classical and check-out was at 11am, I would have been able to take it a little longer."

"Our family of four stayed at Hotel Katara in Shizuoka ☺︎ We were a little worried because we have two children, but the staff were very kind and we were able to relax. The room was spacious and clean, and the ocean view was amazing ✨ The hot springs had a wide variety of baths, which the whole family could enjoy. In particular, the children's pool and playground were excellent and the kids had a blast! The buffet style meals had a wide variety of dishes, and both adults and children were very satisfied. It is close to the sea and tourist attractions, making it the perfect hotel for a family trip 🌊 We would definitely like to stay there again!"

"This guesthouse, chosen for my trip to Minami-Izu, wasn't far from the city center. Service: They started accepting guests after 3 PM, offered parking, and provided welcome drinks. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and seeing we were a bit excited because there weren't many tourists, they were especially kind. Environment: As we were a family of four, the manager upgraded us to a larger room, which we were very grateful for. The environment was lovely, quiet, and clean, and the room snacks were delicious. Cleanliness: Although it had a slightly dated feel, everything was kept impeccably clean. We could even book bed-making time. The public bathhouse was also very clean and comfortable. Facilities: The public bathhouse was incredibly comfortable; it was so pleasant to have a beer outside. It wasn't crowded. We only booked breakfast this time, and the variety was great and delicious. There's also a small bar on the first floor where you can have coffee. In short: A very welcoming guesthouse! We experienced the joys of rural life, and the elderly guests were so adorable!!!"

"This is a great onsen hotel with excellent service, though communication might be a bit challenging if you don't speak Japanese and your English isn't strong. The outdoor private onsen is fantastic and highly recommended. There aren't many convenience stores near Fukusutei, but there are vending machines near the back entrance leading to the private onsen, so getting water and drinks isn't an issue. The breakfast and dinner lean towards kaiseki cuisine. Honestly, I didn't particularly enjoy it (compared to a restaurant's, I felt going to a restaurant would be better). If I had another chance, I'd probably opt for accommodation only, without meals. However, overall, it's a very nice onsen hotel, and I would definitely be willing to come back again."
