"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

"This is a very famous Ryokan, the scene of it with the bridge has been used in many places. Actually, this is the reason for me to went to Kaga Onsen and choose it when I was traveling in Hokuriku. The Ryokan is high-budget but it is worth it. It is my best experience in this trip. The staff are very friendly and will explain much information in the Ryokan or nearby. When I checked out, I mistakenly left my earphone in the room, the staff also contacted me immediately and send it to my home. The room itself is large. Even though the rooms in Ryokan are always very large, it is still larger than expected, which you even have a separate room for dining. The only unexpected thing for me is the location of the room is between the first floor and second floor, if you want to choose the 河鹿（かじか）の間, you might need to consider whether you could accept the location of the room. The dinner and breakfast is very delicious. The Kani miso here is far more than expected, as I usually will feel wired for the taste of this dish. The other crab dishes are also very scrumptious。 Overall, I will high recommend for this Ryokan. It is costly, but worthy."

"I visited at the end of the year. It's a charming inn, and the clientele was relatively quiet and peaceful, consisting of elderly people, groups of adults only, adult families, and foreign couples. There was a wide variety of welcome drinks in the lounge, and although I didn't use it due to the bad weather, there was also a stylish terrace. The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view. Instead of tea bags, they provided Kaga bancha tea. The hot spring wasn't large, but it was very clean and helped alleviate my back pain. The shower was a ReFa, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap had a wonderful scent and didn't leave my hair feeling tight. The food was so delicious that it made the New Year's dishes that followed seem bland in comparison. Having a private room was also a plus. There seemed to be many cute yukata to choose from. The service was excellent, and everyone treated us with great care."
