"Since getting my own car, I've wanted to go on a road trip every week, so this time I arranged to go to the mountains with friends. [Red Book R] Lishui has always been a place I wanted to visit, to see old men leading oxen and to go for a walk in the mountains, but Lishui surprised us beyond our expectations. Once you get to the mountains, you'll find that the goldenrain trees are flowering and bearing fruit; autumn has arrived. [Right R] Day 1: Shanghai – Lishui Xiandu Scenic Area We departed from Shanghai in the morning and arrived at our guesthouse around noon. Accommodation: We had pre-registered our license plate number with the guesthouse, so we drove directly into the scenic area. The scenery along the way was breathtaking, and there was no one around. Now I understand why the Yellow Emperor chose this place to become an immortal. This time, we chose a guesthouse called Yi Chu, which is located in the heart of the scenic area, 700m from Zhu Tan Mountain and 1400m from Yan Dang Bookstore, both very convenient. What's most noteworthy is that besides its Art Deco vibe, the guesthouse's breakfast yogurt and Jinyun sesame cakes, along with the incredibly comfortable sofas and chairs in the lobby, were absolutely amazing. The owner even decorated the entrance with goldenrain trees, a thoughtful touch that instantly evoked the feeling of autumn and made me feel completely relaxed! We also booked afternoon tea at the guesthouse. The reception area felt like a living room, very homey! The room was equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and an electric toilet, along with black and green tea and exquisite tea sets – very homey indeed. If you don't want to go out in the evening, the guesthouse basement has a karaoke room and a pool table – a lazy person's dream! [Right R] Day 2: Watching the Old Man Leading the Ox – you don't need to buy a ticket! Just walk to the village where the old man leads the ox, and it's free! [Yay R] Morning: Zhu Tan Mountain to see the Old Man Leading the Ox + Yandang Academy Highly recommend Yandang Academy! We happened to catch a Wuju opera performance at the Yandang Theater, and the theater's acoustics were superb! I highly recommend bringing a good sound system to listen to music there; the echoes of nature are absolutely amazing! We even stumbled upon a Wuju opera performance, a relatively niche theatrical event! Just sitting quietly in the theater is wonderful. [Yay!] Afternoon: A 20-minute drive to the less-traveled ancient village of Heyang Ancient Residences! The rows of goldenrain trees along the road were beautiful. The village was very quiet. The lines of the horse-head walls are somewhat different from the Hui-style architecture, but the feng shui here seems very good. There's a traditional Chinese medicine doctor on the old street; you can have your pulse checked for 20 yuan. The old man has been practicing medicine for 50 years. This ancient village has many wealthy families, so you need to buy a ticket—40 yuan per person, all-inclusive! There are ancient buildings, a river, and an old street. Special recommendation: Zhu Ji Shaobing (their chili sauce is excellent). The owner is very nice, and all the shaobing is freshly baked. How can you come to Jinyun and not try shaobing?"

The gentle and quiet design, one thing and one scene, hides the unique aesthetic and intentions of the main person. Entering the guest room, it is clean and bright, well furnished, and every detail makes people feel safe and comfortable. The most moving is always the warm kindness between people. The boss and the proprietress are transparent and gentle, and treat people warmly and sincerely. introduced the surrounding special flavors, and also took us to visit the intangible handmade shop full of local charm, and deeply felt the unique humanistic atmosphere of the small town. "Facilities: The bed in the room was very soft, and the toiletries were complete, including basic shower caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo. There were also thoughtful touches: 1. Body lotion with a lovely magnolia scent; 2. Cotton swabs and wet wipes – very convenient for women; 3. Plastic slippers – many hotels I've been to don't have these; 4. The toilet had many buttons, high-end and fully functional. Crucially, our double room 301 had a projector, which was great, allowing the kids to watch TV peacefully in the room. There was also a children's play area and a karaoke area (please note that microphones cannot be used when guests are resting at noon). If I had to nitpick, I'd suggest adding a color-changing privacy screen to the toilet and shower for enhanced privacy. Service: This is beyond words, five stars! The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and came to the station early to pick us up. Because we had a large group and couldn't fit everyone in the five-seater, the owner brought two cars to pick us up. They not only helped us plan our itinerary but also recommended a slightly further-away but excellent farmhouse restaurant with a large portion of chicken. We ate our fill! The best part was that we couldn't finish our food and took it back with us. The owner even reheated it for us the next day! We were so touched! 😹 The breakfast was delicious; they sent us the menu the night before. The owner's signature noodles and the owner's wife's latte were amazing! 👍 Getting around: Everything is close to the attractions. You can use the guesthouse's electric scooter; it only takes a few minutes! The scooter is free! It was hot, and the owner even sprinkled water on the seats to cool us down. So thoughtful! Even if you forget your umbrella, there are umbrellas available at the door for you to borrow. In short, with such amazing service, such amazing owners, and such a lovely daughter, who could resist?!"
