"Environment: Located within a tea plantation in the mountains, accessible by car up and down the mountain. It looks similar to the photos. There is a parking lot, but no charging stations on the mountain. There are two charging stations in the village at the foot of the mountain, but they close at 5 PM and require queuing. Hygiene: We checked in at noon. Rooms 801 and 803 got a power card and went out for a drive. There was even a curled-up mosquito coil on room 803's pillow! Because it's in the mountains, we were worried about mosquitoes, so we closed the doors and windows and left the air conditioning on. When we returned from Chengkan around 10 PM, our child found the bed covered in insects, big and small, swarming everywhere. We reported this to the hotel, and they changed our room, arriving at 10:30 PM. Because it's a container-style house, the new room was incredibly hot and stuffy without air conditioning. The hotel never apologized and even accused us of leaving the balcony door open, allowing the insects in. We checked before leaving. We were also worried about losing things, so we not only closed the balcony door but also locked it. Every hotel we stayed in had its power card inserted and the air conditioning on when we left. They then complained that leaving the lights on when we left them led in bugs. How were we supposed to know the room was leaking?! The room they assigned us, 806, had poor drainage in the shower; the water drained very slowly. If we showered slowly, the water overflowed. The next day, we didn't retrieve our power cards, and when we returned that evening, it was incredibly hot and stuffy. It took fifteen minutes of air conditioning to bring the temperature down. Facilities: Poor. The floorboards along the only way in and out of the room were broken. A long screw was just sticking out! What if someone tripped over it? Service: Poor. The management staff clearly haven't worked in chain hotels or star-rated hotels. They have no empathy; not even an apology! It's like the service of a short-term rental room. There was even a live fly in the cantaloupe dish cover at breakfast!"

"Upon arriving at the "Zuowang" Jiangcun B&B, I was a little confused about the meaning of "Zuowang." Did it mean lying down? No, that didn't seem right. Entering the gate, I was struck by the B&B's culturally rich design: a pleasing lawn with an ancient well in the center, and a winding cobblestone path paving the way. The rooftop terrace was particularly beautiful. In the morning, looking out, the distant Jin'ao Mountain was shrouded in varying shades of mist, and the morning light slowly pierced through the clouds, casting golden rays that shone on the layered horse-head walls with their distinctive Hui-style architecture—a truly picturesque scene of Jiangnan. Several tables and chairs were set up there, perfect for sitting, drinking tea, admiring the Hui-style architecture, and listening to the gentle murmur of the river flowing through the village below. Later, after reading an article written by the owners, I learned that the name "Zuowang" comes from Zhuangzi: "To abandon limbs, to discard intelligence, to separate from form and knowledge, and to become one with the Great Void—this is called Zuowang." It seems the owner of this guesthouse has a deep literary background, imbuing the place with a cultural atmosphere. Each room, including the kitchen and dining area, has an elegant and meaningful name. The entire guesthouse was reportedly designed by the second of the three sisters. Even though meals aren't served, the kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality appliances, including a microwave, gas stove, and automatic dough mixer, along with various seasonings, making cooking a breeze. There's a small shop next door selling locally grown vegetables. The most unique concept of "Sitting in Oblivion" is the well-developed functional areas outside the guest rooms, including a library. The elegant and thoughtful design makes reading, drinking tea, and chatting very comfortable. The designer hopes guests won't be confined to their rooms but can move freely between the courtyard, kitchen, study, and terrace, experiencing the comfort and relaxation of home. "Zuowang" is located in the heart of Jiangcun Old Street. A leisurely stroll through the village reveals that it produced many scholars who passed the imperial examinations, and there are numerous former residences of famous figures to visit – truly a place blessed with good fortune. Jiangcun possesses the original beauty of a Huizhou village, and we had a very enjoyable vacation there. It's ideal for families with elderly members and children. I highly recommend "Zuowang" in Jiangcun. Thank you to the guesthouse owner for their thoughtful and attentive hospitality; we look forward to our next visit!"
