"This was a lovely hotel in a former home that felt like home. The staff couldn’t have been sweeter, Kogulan, the chief butler, Janaka the butler and Merkata the fabulous cook all took great care of us. Our room was the peacock room which I recommend. We hated to leave!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Jaffna Heritage Hotel and this is our second visit to JHH Nallur! The heritage-style architecture and antiques give it a wonderfully unique personality – preserving a beautiful traditional, colonial charm while offering excellent modern comforts. Our room was spacious, perfectly clean, comfortable beds and featured beautiful local artwork. The rooms have smooth air conditioning and Wi-Fi! Stepping out onto the verandah, the swaying coconut palms, and neem trees greet you besides the melodious songbirds native to Nallur. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from the iconic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, which is a plus factor for us who want to participate in the Annual Nallur Festival prayers. One important thing for travellers to know is that it is an exclusively vegetarian and alcohol-free property, which perfectly fits the spiritual vibe of the area. The authentic Jaffna-style vegetarian breakfast buffet was a massive highlight of our mornings – the breakfast dishes were excellent and rotated daily. The local vegetarian cuisine served for lunch and dinner – when requested – is incredibly delicious and flavourful especially the pittu, potato poriyal and sambal! What sets this place apart is the amazing service from the manager and his team, who went out of their way to make you feel right at home. Will definitely return! Jeya & Siva (Malaysia)."
